What have you done to your P5 today?

man i need that front lip looks good. middle one would be nice

teal would look nice! lots of nice wheel combos with it! and yea i like this lip, it looks very aggressive IMO

Keep it... your car has to be one of the cleanest I have seen. Kind of figures since you detail it once a week (or so it seems) (rofl2)

the reason why im wanting to paint it is because the clearcoat is failing on both passenger/driver side doors/rear hatch/spoiler, and right on top of door windows right before the roof rack due to the car being parked outside and the previous owner also had paintwork done which was done poorly and i rather prime it down and get it painted a whole new color than pay to get it painted the same color. The blue on this car is definitely nice i was thinking Laguna Blue from the s2000's but im not sure yet. and yes i usually clean up the car weekly!

was bored to took rims off the back and the spacers and decided to try them on with no spacers. well after most telling me with no spacers they would not fit.. well that was wrong lol. the 8x8.5 38 off set evo wheels did on the p5 with no spaces with no prob. kinda made my day lol..

but did find out my 2 upper motor mounts have gone to s*** :/ lol need new ones or some stock replacement ones. if anyone has any extras to sell let me know thanks

Received my primed Mazdaspeed Protege bumper in the mail, and made a custom boot :D

ordered some new bulbs (the ones in the car are dimming-going on 5 years old)

Also a harness (i know the connectors are wrong, but for $5, i cant complain)

Now hopefully i can get both sides working with the harness

Installed an hid wiring harness Amd have both lights working again, but no high beam on the passenger side, I think the solenoid crapped out on the projector

just drove it to work. have a new stock replacement parts coming in for it. and really need to replace the 2 front side motor mounts. if anyone has any for sale lmk. pass side and driver side

What kind of projectors do you have and how long you have them, because I have some Morimoto Mini H1 to install and you are scaring me here.

i've got Acura TL's, and i've had them for about 5 years

And i did it myself, i was running a 55 watt HID kit without a wiring harness, so eventually, my stock wiring harness took the hit

But if you run a proper HID wiring harness, you've got nothing to worry about.

And i've done 2 retros now with mini's and no problems with the projectors yet

HID's are a scary thing. I have DDM tuning 35W 8k iceburg blue now which runs great. They were $65 before tax from DDM, however, they don't have the additional wiring with the fuse that runs to your battery. This seems fine since they don't seem to pull too many amps. However, the first set I bought off Ebay was a little cheaper and I payed for it. The ballast was bad and after two days of working, blew something in my fuse box so only my driver side lights worked. The headlights on the P5 are wired in series so I figured something went bad from the driver's side to the passenger's side and wasn't getting power. Strangely enough, when I switched to high beams my passengers would come on and everything got a little dimmer. Turns out that a circuit path in the bottom of my fuse box broke. I fixed it myself which was great compared to Mazdas price of $405 for a new fuse box (the only wrecked P5 in my area has half the fuse box gone from the collision). I realized the high beams were pulling power through the driver's side lights in order to turn on. Crazy stuff, could of caused an electrical fire and I would be toast. Anyways, the safest HID is one that your car can handle, and go for one with the power harness just to be safe.

hmm. . . . . so a circuit went bad? I'll have to check that on Callie's car

I've been using DDM's HID's for about 3 years in the P5 (35watt 4.5k) and they do have the battery wiring as an option in the checkout cart. I haven't had a problem with them. After the swap I thought I had a bad ballast so I contacted the shop I bought them from (the old style, bigger ballasts have a lifetime warranty) and sent them back and got a new ballast. But I think I just had the ballast plugged in backwards. If you flip one of the plugs they won't work, I later found out. I'm running DDM HID's on my my Milly now too without a problem, battery harness installed on that as well.

I haven't done anything to my P5 other than hording parts for the rebuild. It's been too cold and I've got a case of the lazies...

I understand that my spare room is starting to look more like a warehouse of parts and I have more of a case of too much work not enough time for car.

Scarfed up closeout GTSpec rr stb for 53 shipped off ebay to match all the other GTSpec stuff. Minor but the mod bug, she still biting. What I really need to do is get some HIDs in the useless fogs.....even tho the HID lows are very sufficient.
