My Latest MOD...

Replaced the last of my OEM engine wires. The Alternator Power Wire. The Transmission Ground Wire. The Starter Power Wire. Then re-wrapped them with the other ground and signal wires and ran them back thru the engine bay.
Today I used Knukonceptz 4ga Flex wire, Red for power and trans-Black for ground. Also used Stinger 4ga wire terminals. Wrapped the trans ground in wirecare techFlex and shrinkwrap, Wrapped the Alternator/Starter wires in electTape, wire loom then TechFlex. Lots of fun! Looks Clean. See before and after pics.

I need to change my manual tranny fluid, something better. It's decent as is, but 3rd sometimes has some weirdness to it that the other gears don't have. I don't think it's ever been changed at 67k, anyway.

Seems like the synchromesh/lucas combo is the most popular. I thought about redline shockproof. I am not convinced the synchromesh is the best for protection, but then again, if it stops the minor gear weirdness or contact I am feeling, that should override any possible long term wear, I assume.

Anyone got any better ideas than the syncro/lucas?

ry, replacing wires is cool indeed, but why did you take this step?

I washed my whole engine bay in 55 degree weather so it never completely dried before i took off and my starter wire corroded, also I have large system and acc. and it would be nice to have all the juice I can pump to my batt that I can w/o doing any serious upgrades, see my sig.

Got the Car back from the shop today. FINALLY thank God and the red valve cover looks hella sexy

Is it meant for the P5 or the 99 sedans? Doesn't look like it is the right shape...

So what happened to your flooding issue? is that all cleared up? I need to order some spacers and go hella flush haha
