What have you done to your P5 today?

^^^Exactly...he said we could just take the tranny off through the bottom...but advised against it due to our lack of doing it before...I trust him...haha...so we are just going to pull the whole motor...again...Install Round 5 starts tommorrow...

Ok the water made it up to my rear seat on the passenger side. Now I'm worried about that side due to the exhaust on the side and is the ecu over there?

totally unnecessary.... leave the motor in.. just pull the trans and the side motor mounts.. rock it a bit, and it'll come out the bottom.. ..

Pull the trans by itself its sooo much easier. Just make sure you support the engine with either a cradle or jack...I believe I saw you have an engine lift so you can support it with that...the trans will drop out the bottom/side

Just finished installing the dash pad above the glove compartment....told the gf next time she throws her phone inside the car to make sure it hits something easily replacable because that was a huge b**** to do

car started no water in the oil but i revved it right after start up to 5-6K to get the water out of the exhaust and now when i drive it the damn thing dies at a stop. wont idle.
i dont know what to do. **** there is too much money in this wagon to total it. but if it does im getting a Q45 or something i really want. damn houston weather!!!

if enough exhaust isn't getting out it could total it out.. another thing to try would be just unbolting certain parts of the exhaust to get the water that may be in there..

I (accidently) drove through a huge puddle with my Civic with a cold air intake once. The motor started to sputter and I quickly turned it off. But the damage was done, water in the head. I towed it to a friends house, pulled the water out with a medical syphon tube thing, replaced the spark plugs and the damn motor fired up again. I kid you not. Ran just fine. So there's hope, my friend.

Sorry to hear the terrible new though. I've always liked your P5...

Try just jacking up the front of the car to get most of the water out. Also change plugs cause i'll bet some water got past the exh valves. Maybe the 02's also?

it idles fine now. no water showing on the dipstick looks fine. what is idle supposed to be in a wagon? im just starting to gut the interior. ill get pics for yall ha ha. im gonna change oil/plugs and s***. hope for the best

still want to go lower slideshow?

my idle gets as low as 500. and replace the plugs, cause they probably need it anyways, and they are cheap.

so did you drive through a puddle, or was it just sitting.

I haven't driven the P5 since last Friday. I'm saving her up for a 340 mile (one way) trip to Blacksburg, VA and then back on Sunday. Then again, if the rain keeps up I probably won't be going. Anyhow, my water/meth kit came in today! Everything is actually quite a bit smaller than I originally thought so mounting everything shouldn't be so difficult. The hardest part os going to be running all the wires/hoses and mounting the control box. Does anyone know where you can get some 50/50 water/methanol?

Yeah, that's what I've been trying to find. Apparently most are <30% methanol

yeah i used to have to get my g/f to bring it from MD when she lived there...can only get it in non emmisions counties here.

Other option is to mix your own just using alcohol instead
