What have you done to your P5 today?

you can't keep your car running, Krazie fox is going to pull his hair out, 808 is spewing oil everywhere, speedhornet can't get his car to run right, and i know of at least one other
Haha, I can't keep my car running because every week I install something new (that and shops suck and TurboXS also sucks). If it weren't for the shop not listening to me and the TurboXS BOV leaking my car would be running just fine right now. Actually, it is running and without a CEL - the idle is just a little rough. I don't know what's up with Krazie and 808 but speedhornet has installed something incorrectly or messed something up with his 626 IM install. I ran into none of the problems he has when I installed mine. You only start to run into problems when you start pushing it. For the first 6 months after I installed my turbo and nothing else the car ran great! However, now I have just about every mod you can without building the motor and I'm still relying on the stock computer...

turbo or N/A?

i know turbo is cheaper, and if I go MSP, i'd upgrade to hard pipes and BOV

wouldn't mess with FMIC or bigger turbo. MAYBE a different manifold, and, possibly intke mani from 505
Go with the FMIC - you don't want to mess with the SMIC and all the required components. It's when you start playing with manifolds when stuff starts running differently...

Ty, go FMIC, MSP setup, mild upgrades to that setup, and you'll be fine. That's what I plan to do if I can keep the car from rotting away.

+1 I'd even say FMIC is overkill..... upgraded SMIC, hardpipes, relocalte maf and at stock boost levels you'll be fine...
Sure, just make sure you relocate the MAF if you want to use the BOV. Other than that, that all should net you something like 170-180 whp.

yeah, relocate MAF is a given to use BOV.

hard pipes, and upgrade smic.

Hmm...suspension or turbo this year? Callie is gonna kill me.

Taylor, you and Jen say nothing at Palooza! lol

She is *ok* with me going suspension route this year. I don't wanna bring turbo up again just yet

The problem is the SMIC requires all sorts of other annoying things to work with the P5. MSP radiator, A/C condensor, etc. It's far easier, has less parts and is probably cheaper to just go with a FMIC. Just leave the lower grille in place if you're worried about being "found out".

i think w/ the corksport cams, an AFC, MP3 ecu, full ehxaust and intake i think 180wheel is a safe estimate for an NA setup...

and i think would be cheaper than going turbo.
Both cams 360
AFC 400
wideband 280

assuming you already have intake and exhaust.

i think this is the route im going.

i've got MP3 ECU, Injen SRI, Ractive header(should be installed next week) and magnaflow catback

ah yes...didnt even think of the smaller radiator we have etc....good point.

w/ those cams i would say you would be at corksports 166wheel.

although i would prefer to see the actual corksport dyno before making any decisions.

i know, im just saying that a 180 whp na fsde is theoretically possible....but you will be spending literally thousands more than just throwing on the msp kit
