What have you done to your MSP today?

I have found a couple used sets of WRX 440s for around $100 so I will probably go that route, definitely interested in the walbro though whenever you upgrade.

If you are lucky you can find them cheaper than that. I got lucky an picked them up off Zealous for $50 I think it was..

Hahha. Thats the friends and family hook up. I am almost done with the gauge pod by the way.. Pics in the next few days. Once I'm all back together and running, I'll start making you one

Installed my new radiator cap. Old one was leaking. Went baller status with the cap with gauge.

Pulled it back to 15psi and tuned for low-11 AFRs. I'm daily-ing it right now until I put bearings, tires and the M2 springs back on the P5, so no reason to go 20psi all day everyday. Especially with my driving habits.

I want a carbon fiber deck lid...
Does anyone make one?

I've been looking at appearance mods and trying to decide what to do. My car looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor and it needs some shore to go with the go. I have three stock hoods so I'm considering cutting one up and doing some vents, I built done projector retrofits that I have yet to install, and I'm spring shopping. I've got a set of illuminas but I like the valving in the stock shocks so I don't see a reason to make the change. The other consideration is selling my good stock suspension and the illuminas to fund coilovers.

I have vacuum bagging equipment, but haven't ever pulled anything large. If this weren't such a dead platform I'd consider giving it a go. It's so much work to tool up, it would probably never pay. I guess the manifolds were a gamble too though....

I would send it to somebody is already making similar parts. I realize it's not a big money-making platform. Very few ever complete their project car because they can't control their finances.

Who has done the ZE intake install? I am considering just going back to the stock mani. I can't figure out how to adjust the throttle cable, the fuel rail I got at the JY doesn't fit the stock fuel lines (although I have custom lines I can run or I can modify the rail to fit the stock line) and I would have to rewire my harness to move my sensors around and make them fit. Re-doing the harness is minor, so is the fuel line issue. I'm tired of running into issues, just want my car done and every time I have a few minutes to work on it I run into a stupid problem and can't get any progress done.

I think you would have more luck trying to revive the reverse cowl hood than a trunk lid. the stock trunk is pretty light already. id only ever consider a cf replacment for the sake of rustproofing as they do seem to leak and rust the trunk lid. id be painting mine for sure though.
the irony Is i got into rc racing cause it was supposed to be cheaper... I just finished buying up a brand new Xray NT1 nitro touring car and with all new electronics and engine, its tipping the scales at $2000 lol... thats a rebuild transmission, or a built bottom end or.. all the boltons really for the msp...
perspective and priorities lol.

Nothing rc is cheep. I bought a 450 size heli after I bought everything I needed it was 2K and it pretty much cost 100 ever time it touches the ground to hard.

Its kind of he same story for the nitro car ha. Im skilled enough now that i dont hit things often but i also pull tighter lines faster so when i do have a brain fart its at high speed lol.
Justto race club isnt bad but the cost to stay competitive at nationals is pretty high. $200/weekend for tires at the high level heh. $60/gallon for nitro fuel.
Electric more efficient but new batteries each season at $120 each are the norm. Ill buy 2 on average per car i run. I wouldnt be exagerating to say i spend more in tires and consumables plus tracktime to race rc than all my insurance and gas for the msp in a year lol.
Assuming i sont buy any new gear heh.

I've had a number of auto enthusiast friends that have gotten into the RC hobby, under the belief it's a cheap alternative to cars, only to find out they spend a ton on the miniature versions. Especially when they're not as skilled and break things. I looked into it and decided to just keep it to the life-size stuff. I'd prefer aerial over cars, though and that's even more expensive, especially when you **** up.

The rear, right tire is leaking like crazy to the point it has 2-4psi each morning. Found the leak and in a hurry to leave the shop Saturday, I forgot to actually repair it. It's right in the center of the tread, so easily repairable, just need to do it!

Got the popping noise from the front, left taken care of. Not sure which component it actually was, but I hit everything with the impact when it was in the air.

I hate how unpredictable the MSP is. One day it runs perfect, the next day they'll be a hiccup here or a hesitation there, then be fine like nothing ever happened. It's always been like that and I'd say that until I go standalone, I'll have to deal with it as I think the engine management is the issue.

Ecu is cracked. Orangevirus was able to chip it. And will announce prices in packaging June 1st.

I need a lot more information rather than posting a picture/video and examples. I want to know what/how the interface operates and every other detail about it.
