What have you done to your MSP today?

Were you there IN your mazdaspeed lol. That's funny.

Unfortunately, no, I was in the 8. But I did get out wearing a Mazda hoodie, Mazda beanie and a Mazdaspeed shirt under the hoodie he couldn't see. Based on that fact alone, I wouldn't have argued with me.

Well looks like the mp3's trans took a s*** while driving home. Pretty sure I Snapped the 3rd syncro. Car is now stuck on 4th and won't go into any other gears.

Do you guys know if n/a axels will fit into an msp trans?

tracked my car the other week again.... felt looser than usual (tail end was kicking out, or felt like it). Any suspension setting suggestions from those of you who track their cars. I have a feeling it may be the worn out dunlop's I'm running out back but figured I'd try some settings first

Exact same thing happened to my car, 3rd gear synchros and shift fork, NA axles fit but they are 2mm smaller diameter.

Took the MSP into the shop yesterday...it would always buck under boost. I thought it was the coilpacks so I was planning on getting a full tune up. Brought it in and the mechanic took it for a test drive and blew a tire, so now I need all new tires. I have two that are mismatched right now so I didn't figure it would pay to just find two new ones. Right rear caliper is seized so that will be getting replaced. Found out I need a new intercooler, so at least now I have an excuse for buying one - that was my problem with boosting. Might need a timing belt replace too. So for a $100 (ish) tune up I now have almost $1,200 in repairs...awesome.

I can do many things with the help of my dad...I just don't have the time. The MSP is my daily and I am in college 3 hours away from home, so I can't/don't really have his help. I will be doing the front mount, so that saves me a little money. I would rather not mess with the timing belt myself. The brakes I could do too, but he isn't charging much for labor for that.

so fk my life.. even ebay seems to fail me when searching for tokico illuminas... does anyone have any ideas for replacement struts that can handle lowering springs? I have eibach sportline springs on the stock msp struts and all of the struts are definitely gone...
The msp is gonna get coils but i wanted to recycle the eibachs to my p5.. but everywhere iv'e read says even something like kyb's wouldn't survive 2" lowering.

I don't wanna make the p5 too rigid.. its a daily and im enjoying the plush stock ride.. buuuuut.. must be moar low heh.

If you get new tokico hp's they'll ride like butter. that's my opinion :)

Pulled CEL codes: p0171, p0455, p0660. P0455 is a new one for me, the other two seem to come and go as they please. CEL seems to go away on warmer days.

Well i took off my left primered fender a installed a matching black mica fender so the car is all one color again!Got a new shifter boot to match my interior(black with orange stitching)
a new 2003.5 shift knob and a lc2 wideband.

Need a set of spark plug wires, which ones besides OEM or NGK are you guys using?
I bought the NGK's to replace my OEMs but only one would stay on the coil.
Took them back and won't use try them again!

Also had a weird RPM tach one morning when the temps were below freezing. It would go to zero, bounce back up and then zero a few more times. WTF?
That was the first time it ever did that but I'm not in FL at the moment.

I personally have OEM ones that I just put on when I changed out plugs and coils even though my last oem set was fine. I ended up with two sets when I ordered them at my rebuild. Borg-Warner makes a quality ignition wire that I ran prior and use them through my shop because they're of good quality.

I have ran NGK wires for a long time and have never had any problems, are you using aftermarket coil packs? Plenty of people run these without issue.
