are all the other bolts off? if so i would think take the egr pipe off, slide the manifold forward to give u clearance to take the rest of the nut off the stud. no?

question for any of you guys running lowering springs....should the front springs have any play? i swear i can move mine just a tad if i pull on them, but they dont spin or anything...just kind of rock i guess.

Almost finished installing my GT28RS upgrade. I ran out of threadlock while bolting the turbo manifold back up. I'll buy some tomorrow and finish the job. Totally excited.

you're gonna love it! my new MSP has a disco potato and its lightyears better than the OEM turbo. pulls sooo hard.

perrin fmic went in last night. just gotta throw the bumper back on and adjust minor things. built engine going in this weekend. finally gonna be built (alright)

This. It may be very minute of an upgrade when you look at the sizes but, it is nice and pulls nice and hard.

did a rough photo-chop of what my engine bay should look like when all is said and done (except i'll prob do the non-MSP valve cover/coil pack conversion while i'm at it)

that I'm not sure, this is with the car jacked up and wheels off.

how much does it move? im pretty sure as long as its just a little, then youre fine. the weight of the car will keep it held down pretty well. i can spin my coilover springs while its in the air as well.

boostscience divertor valve or run a dual set-up with the stock bpv and greddy bov on my perrin fmic?

i had the dual set up when i first bought my new MSP... not a big fan to be honest.

will be selling my silver MSP w/ that set up, as i've swapped over my turboXS BOV

yeah, it barely moves, I cant spin the spring or anything. I figured it was just me being paranoid lol

Figure out my slight hesitation/bogging at wot issue I had that popped up out of nowhere. Ended up my filter was just too dirty I guess. Took it off and my hesitation went away (cabpatch)

WOOOOOHH!!! Finished my GT28RS upgrade swap. I also installed a new OEM radiator I needed badly because my old one was leaking. Capped off the EGR nub on the turbo manifold and the EGR pipe is just sucking in fresh air. Next year, I'll have to find an emissions inspection place that's willing to overlook this.

I haven't started the car yet because I need a 3" coupler to attach my intake to the new turbo. I ordered it tonight (should have thought of this earlier. Facepalm.) But she's all put back together, just waiting on the new coupler. I am so happy that everything fits right up without any problems, just like stock. I have a 6psi wga on it, with the stock flashed ECU doing the thinking. I'm going to drive easy for the time being, and invest in a wideband O2 and SSAFC in the coming months. I have a new Exedy stage 1 clutch waiting to go on, but I want to pick up a Fidanza flywheel to go with it. Then it's on to the suspension with new springs, struts & strut mounts.

can someone answer me this, how come when i disconnect my cluster my car wont start? is there any way around this or anyone have any solutions? i wanna make a custom is the reasoning why im removing the cluster

I think it was programmed that way to avoid odometer fraud. This was a huge problem in the 90's. People would buy limited production cars and cars that were increasing in value popularity and they would disconnect the instrument cluster to keep the indicated mileage low. Then they would plug it back in when they were ready to sell. People did this a lot with the SupraTT.

ya i figured as much, makes sense on there end to do so. Does anyone know any tricks around this? I'm going to assume its either a circuit opened or some certain ohms or resistance has to be duplicated in order to get it to turn over. But that's just a shot in the dark, Ive never looked into it.
