What have you done to your MSP today?

Drove it to work today for the first time in 6+ months. I forgot how loud it was without the silencer in the CS exhaust LOL

what is your suspension set up? and make sure your brakes are stiff. if not, bleed em and make em stiff. also what tires are you on?

I'm running Megan racings full coilovers and of course the mazdspeed stuff(sway bars, strut bar) n for tires I'm on 205-40 tire. I talked to some guys that run out there n they said my tires are fine for now because I'm not going to be killing any lap times first time out anyways lol

with the stretch, its especially important to have a stiff sidewall or else you will roll it enough for the rim to almost hit ground or unseat the bead. so i say start off at 40 psi in your tires and work down slightly if you need to. if you can adjust the dampening on the struts, put it at about 85%. dont want it too incredibly stiff as to break the dampening system. make sure that your nuts and bolts for the suspension pieces are tight, especially your end links. also consider doing a light sand to your rotors. take like 800 grit and swirl and sand a little bit, not too much. it should restore a little bit of bite to your brakes. othe than that, have fun, and dont push it harder than you are comfortable doing.

thanks for the tips, and ya my coils have dampening adjustments so I will adjust accordingly

What track are you going to? Most places I know won't let you out with tires that stretched as a safety concern ie you fail inspection... If they do let you out be mindful of oil starvation if you really get going...

I really want to get the MSP 100% when I get back from vacation and actually drive it.

I'm goin to this place called Adams raceway in riverside ca. As far as not being able to run because of my tire setup I'm about 90% sure I will have no issues in getting pass tech inspection as they have drift nights there and some of those cars are far more stretched then me while drifting. And thanks for the tip on oil starvation ill keep that in mind. I do plan on running a bigger stickier tire after I get my flares done. I wanna do track style build up eventually here in the future as I am becoming more influenced by track cars. But all in time it will eventually happen

so i plan on doin my first track day at a local track for a time attack night..anyone here track their car? any suggestions on set up besides good brake pads and fluid changes? the track is mostly ran by hondas and the occasional miata or subaru. and one pic of the hooptie

I think you should get a "snapshot" thing from progressive and hook it up to your obd2 on the track, see what kind of discounts you can get!

I crushed my MSP like a can today!

I really cant express how I feel about loosing her...

I was on the far right shoulder lane trying to merge onto the interstate and traffic sucked balls so I down shifted that b**** into 3rd and took off to snag an opening. I saw an opening and was going for it and out of no where some dude cut 2 lanes in front of me to get to the shoulder and he completely blocked my path. I slammed the breaks and turned the wheel to avoid the dreaded "rear end" and I lost control and went sideways into traffic where I side swiped a 2008 Toyota tundra while I was going like 75mph! when I hit the truck I did one 360 spin in the middle of rush hour traffic and ended up right where the car is in the picture.

honestly if I was going a little faster to get ahead of the tundra I would have been t-boned and prob dead...
