What have you done to your MSP today?

Ok, retested the pressure switch THE CORRECT WAY per Preferio's instructions and the fan and compressor clutchcame on so it's definitely a pressure issue or failed switch.

Just glad I don't have to chase down an electrical gremlin...

Thats good. At least you dont have a leak but you will still have to evac all the refrigerant and then replace the switch and do a full recharge.

No, the basic test I had him perform narrows it down to both a pressure switch failure or low system pressure (refrigerant level). Pressure switches rarely fail. My money is on low refrigerant.

Yeah, I was just a moron and did the wrong thing when I did the test...might as well have been grounding a rock...lol

So you overrode the pressure switch to make the compressor cycle...? If that is the case then yeah it prolly is low on refrigerant. I have seen the switches go bad but like you said its rare.

(werd) we'll see. Might just top it off for now and see if it loses freon quickly or lasts a while.

Perhaps when I was moving around the lines and drier I loosened something. But that was a while ago so must be a small leak if any.

so my car suddenly started running very rich, hitting 10 at -10vacuum all the way to 15psi. It happened 2 week also and reseting the ecu cleared the issue then, and it did again today. What could cause this? I'm using a ssafc, o2 sensors are new, vacuum is perfect. Could the ecu or the afc be turning bad? I'm also using 440's.

did you hook up a laptop to the SSAFC to see if its working?

I know i threw the sti pinks and that s*** was rich as ****, i installed a tune some one did on here and no help. So i went back to stock injectors lol

The afc is working because once I reset the ecu is goes back to my tune, no way the stock ecu would give me 12 under wot without the afc. it also shouldn't come on before 1 psi, which is how I set it. As anyone have a ssafc go bad? Its been on the car for like 4 years now..

Fixed my lean issue I think.... I unplugged the egr. Hasn't run lean since. I guess since I have it sucking in fresh air, it was sucking in in metered air. So I'm pretty sure I fixed it. Walboro should be here and going in tonight

cant say if its your issue or not but they absolutely go bad and without warning. also check the map to see if it went back to 0 or not what you had. ive heard of that too

How could it be sucking in metered air?

So, in a rush due to pure excitement, I installed the SSAFC using wire clamps instead of soldering against my better judgement... It was running like s*** yesterday, but is running amazing again after tightening the clamps. Why do I do these things? I knew what I should have done, but decided not to. Damn you, me!
