can you describe the smell? I've never had a cat go bad but i've heard they smell like rotten eggs, jerking could also be a bad/loose ground

Were you the one that just replaced the coil packs, plugs and wires? If not, I would start there.

Hopefully you replaced the plugs and gapped them close enough.

That was my issue after replacing the coil packs and plugs.

Well at first it was the rotten egg smell wich def would be the cat... now its a tottal dif smell, idk if it would have to do with the valve cover gasket i have to replace as well.... I did just replace all the wires and coil packs and plugs and gapped them as close as i could. Its kinda hard to explain the smell to be honest, it just doesnt smell right at all... like i can smell it inside the car when i have the air on as well... it seems like it all happens at the same time, the smell, the jerking, the shaking, and the fact that it doesnt like to eccelerate.... My car might be orange but its def a "lemon" Seems like way to many issues to have all at once forr a car ive only had since August that only had 60K on it .... doesnt seem right...

A mazda RX-7 old skool, all modded out. after he pulled into the parking lot i was in and asked if my MSP was a 2011 and never seen one stock with turbo... and he works in a shop.... makes no sence.... that thing was fast as **** for a 1.3L though.....

I just put my flange in a vice (with towels wrapped to protect it) and used some snap ring pliers, used an extra set of hands, pushed in one side of the HKS then the other, and voila! It's really not that hard lol

Yeah i had the dame thing the other day, a mazda RX-7 old skool, all modded out. after he pulled into the parking lot i was in and asked if my MSP was a 2011 and never seen one stock with turbo... and he works in a shop.... makes no sence.... that thing was fast as **** for a 1.3L though.....

That is just sad. But for some reason I just got an urge to buy an RX-8 and slap a turbo on it. They can be had for relatively cheap (10k + or -) and I have always thought they look really good with minimal appearance mods.

eh somebody slap me.

thinking about selling my mx-5 wheels and getting these:

you should. then i perhaps have an excuse to buy mx5's =D!

oh and from last page DO NOT try to use your stock BPV nipple for the ssqv. that is to say, unless you have one of those flanges that takes a silicon tube, and you attach the valve somewhere else. the weight of the valve will break the fitting. a large push for me to get hardpipes ha.
