What have you done to your MSP today?

removing the oile feed line thats attached to the turbo itself... right on top but very little room to turn a wrench.. unless im starting at the wrong end?

lol the oil return line is under the turbo...you're on the wrong end.

look for the line bolted right above the oil pan and follow it back to the turbo.

i have that one removed then lol... there is a line feeding to the top of the turbo small metal line with like a size 10/11mm nut.

How did you get a free pulley? I can't find them listed on the minerva website, so I guess they are discontinued? Anybody have a full set of pulleys installed that can vouch for them? I was always curious if they really make a noticeable difference.

I need to install the pulley still but im not expecting much. Its the latest version ps pump
Pulley. I had a Medieval V1 lightweight crank pulley but the screws holding the timing teeth sheared off so im back to stock. I did notice a difference with just the crank pulley, it was about 3lbs lighter than stock, IIRC.

My new brake reservoir cap, clutch line and PCV grommet should be here today and will be installed

lol he did say feed didnt he....derrrr Im talking about the return as thats what is typically needs the gasket replaced on...

lol nobiggie, i soaked it with pb blaster i suppose. would hate to have to cut it off :(

basically just have the right size open wrench (i wanna say 9/16 or 7/16 cant remember) and then hold it up toward you at a 45-65 degree and turn it since theres no room. itll give you a little more space. thats what i did. just dont strip it

Thanks guys, ill have to do this in the morning. I was hoping to get it out and fiddle with it once its out but guess not

I never have been able to get that flare nut off the turbo feed. I always just disconnect it from the back of the block where it joins the oil cooler. Its a pain but it is the only way I can get it off. It still has edges but I have come damn close to rounding it at the turbo, that's why I just started removing it at the cooler. Even with a flare nut wrench and the turbo off the car on a table I cannot get it to budge, PB soaked and clamped down.

So on my way home from work, every time i get near -10vac and above (heading toward boost not other way), the car bogs. No vac leak according to my boost gauge. So i limp the poor car home and decide to test coils and wires for resistance. Way under factory on everythng and i pull the plugs and they are just black and corroded. I guess water got in there somehow. I used boot grease and i could see it cause it was all crusted and nasty.

Spent an hr replacing coils, wires and plugs and apparently my cars been having a problem for a while i just never noticed. Cause now im finding out my clutch cant handle the power. just slips if i get on it. avoidable for now but fix one thing....

To get the little oil line out of the top of the turbo I used some vice grips tighten them as tight as I could and turned. I've done it that way twice.

to run a fmic you'll need to figure out a way to recirc your bpv or have to spend more money on a bov and relocate the maf. You'll probably need more couplers so that $160 is going to going up real quick. Plus check the FS section on here as you might find a much better deal on some things

So if i was to get that kit, i wouldnt be able to run it with just that, would need a BOV and other parts as well...?

yep, or you could figure out a way to use your BPV but you would need something similar the the flange on the closest pipe in this pic (forget if it's the hot or cold)

Readjusted my front bumper - fixing the panel gap and polished my headlights. Looks good now. Gonna go wash it before it gets dark now!

ya I absolutely hate that damn nut, when I was taking apart my old msp, I really ground the crap out of that thing, until I ended up using vice grips like you said and tightening it to the point where it almost smushed the nut a little.. then turned it slowly.. got it off eventually, that is really the main reason why I haven't really been eager to pull my turbo off my car now... although there really isn't much of a reason now, but I am not looking forward to the day

My innobate wideband stopped working and gave me an error light. The manual says dont mount it in the 3 or 9 oclock position which it is and i think i killed the sensor with the turbo and probably clogged stock cats.
