What have you done to your MSP today?

I put pads and rotors on today. My pads and rotors were shot! Not too bad for almost 4 years worth of driving on them though. I forgot to adjust my ebrake so, I'll be doing that tomorrow. Car stops nice tho.

Ahh thats right, I ordered some EBC front pads and rotors yesterday. I only need to replace the fronts so I decided to get the good s***.

Hey wagon if you happen to find those Turbo studs any time soon, wanna hook me up?

You've got first crack at em... 5 studs, 5 nuts, and 10 washers of 2 different size (for reasons I don't quite understand?)

If you don't want em, I'll put em up in the FS section.

Instaleld new trans, rear, and front motor mounts today.. the rear was a b**** ONLY because we couldn't get the bolt that goes through the mount to break loose... The nuts were a cake walk... .Then we had a hard time getting the bolt to align up to slide in! I think it took us like 5/6 people to finally get that sucker broke loose with a breaker bar!

Haha I feel your pain sir. Getting that bolt hole to line up sucks ass. I never want to touch the rear motor mount of a 3rd gen protege again...

Oh I've done it several times... I think 4 or 5 times total now... This by far was the hardest one ever! Getting that fuckign bolt to break loose was a ******* hell... no power tools either. The top 3 nuts and harness bracket... cake walk!

The harness bracket being the black piece that holds the engine harness to the firewall? I threw that thing as far as I could throw it the first time I took the mount off.

eh its really easy to get off! all you need is the really small wretchet set.. I think 1/4" adn a 10mm deep socket... fits right on with no problem... I put it back in and zipped tied the harness in place on it... The harness was sitting on the mount! So Im sure that woudl cause all sorts of fun rubbign a hole through the harness.

That's funny. My harness wasn't rubbing at all. Lol either way I found it so stupid that they positioned it right above the motor mount. And those damn studs for the bracket get in the way of sockets for the three nuts.

yes it is a stupid spot... and my bottom stud is bent out of the way.. only the top nut is on it... Slide the stocket onto that nut on the rear mm and bent that fuckign stud out of the way My harness wasnt rubbing but I rather not take that chance ya know.

swapped in the 03.5 cluster in the car, installed AWR rad, changed oil

While changing my oil i found this lovely hunk of metal on my magnetic drain plug, thank god i had one.

Im hoping its left over from when i blew a hole on each side of my block, what is it?

It looks like an oil squirter to me...

EDIT: Yea I'm pretty sure it's that. Looks like it broke off or something. Here's a pic from Maxx's build thread.

sounds about right, let hope it was from my old motor. Im assuming there is some sort of baffling in the stock oil pan.

Must of gut stuck in it. Had to replace block, crank, and windage tray when i blew it.

was really weird driving the car though, havent drove it for like 2 months, been driving my silverado pick up around.

saw another silver one in town, parked by the local club pub (publix across from heritage grove). that poor msp.
