What have you done to your MSP today?

im pretty much doing option #3 when i pick up my friends gemini RC hood. its white so im gonna remove all that and paint the whole thing 26s leaving "Mazdaspeed" in small print over my driver side headlight.

probably dont have to remove the paint but if i try to remove only the little bit i want left in cf, ill get a stepped appearance when the new paint goes on.

sucks though. since you cant buy dupont chroma in canada anymore ill have to get the color mixed in water based equiv or do the 6-7 tries to get it in nason =\

sometimes i wish i had a piss easy color.. black mica is looking pretty appealing. or even just the black of my friends new 2.. nothing to it but it looks so clean.
or maybe bmw sapphireswartz. that color is DAMN hot. the sparkle is very understated.

Yo Jeff lets see some pictures of your carbon fiber door handles (interior) or whatever they call that piece. My little brother was raving about them today when he rode in my car lol.

I'll pull them out when I get home tomorrow night. I have a set that I've yet to finish up. I want to get those done before I leave permanently, should have some extra time on my hands...

I haven't posted much :( this whole weekend (Friday to Sunday) I have been laying down in a baddddd cold.... It's not fun at all. Still feel like s*** and I have work tomorrow.... Lame. But car wise I has emission and inspection done.

Haven't done much to the MSP but I did order some needed maintenance parts. Got new rotors, pads, stainless steel brake lines, 4 new struts, and new strut mounts. Since I couldn't get them locally, I ordered 4 sets of 1 step colder plugs. Will be nice to get them all in and installed. Will probably go back to the stock springs for a bit, possibly sell the Tein's that are on there now.

Question, I'm going to do a maf relocate and plan to upgrade the bypass valve and I'm not sure what to go for. I want to use the hot pipe nipple so should I get the forge bypass or the forge blow off?

if you're relocating, just VTA. save yourself the trouble of plumbing it. The forge really isn't a good upgrade because the inlet fitting is the same size as stock.

Bought Mobil 1 75W-90 and some lucas oil stabilizer to change the tranny fluid before I take it to TWS in March. First track event in a FWD for me and I can't wait.

I need verification on the fitting size to put my vacuum block on the brake booster. I bought two 1/8th thread to 3/8th hose fittings, is that the right size? I don't want to cut it and then be stuck with the wrong s***.

Have these things now...

Brake booster is 3/8 id.

Thank you sir. Just need to search my house for some clamps and i'll be good. I don't think I wanna do the old zip tie method for the brake booster.

In other news, I think my turbo is on its way out. The pitch seemed a little odd while driving home from school tonight. It sounded more like a squeal than a whistle. Also if I get on it too much, the car will jerk for a second after I get in boost as if I'm getting fuel or spark cut. It may very well be my bad tune since I haven't adjusted my FIC much yet, but most people I talk to just complain about hesitation and bogging with no tune and not bucking / jerking.

Good thing I just bought a Nissan T25 turbo to replace it. I had planned on swapping it when I get a new manifold so I can put on the new turbo, downpipe, and mani together but I might not have that much time. I checked the oil and it is above full.

well technically, the brake booster is 11/32", but i told you to get the 3/4" because its barely any bigger, and easier to find

edit: wow did it again...i meant to put 3/8", sorry about tht

sent the new/used head to shop to get all dressed up and checked, ordered new 626 mani, new head bolts and gasket sets. needing new belts and start stocking up on oil and coolant.

my headunit has officially crapped out on me. any suggestions for a good HU that doesnt cost an arm and a leg?

My car came with a JVC h/u, I had a JVC in the past and it worked fine but I was unimpressed because it was out of date. This one has HD radio and a USB port so I can plug my iPhone right into it, not to mention over 25 different background colors to choose from, one of them almost perfectly matches the stock orange lights. I'm not sure what they run new but I know JVC is reasonably priced and i'm satisfied with it. I do wish it had a better built in amp, I miss the adjustability of my old Pioneer Premier H/U.
