What have you done to your MSP today?

^^ From personal experience they always come right about .042 out of the box. Haven't done anything to the car except trying to decide what to buy this week lol. Definitely getting motor mounts just gotta figure what set up I wanna go with and also an exhaust since mine is hanging :( lol. Looks like the car has a limp d**k. haha. But either going with Vibrant's turbo back or thinking Thermal's catback exhaust with Corksports dp and a high flow cat. Like the close to stock look. Any comments very welcome.

Ive had the vibrant, CS 2.4 (s, j, all the way), GHL, you name it.

What are your power goals, state requirements, and sound requirements?

Thats what really decides it.

from the factory, I believe they're gapped at about .040... so thats DEFINITELY something you wanna check. that could be the source of your problem right there.

THANKS so much man, I never checked the gap, all of them were almost .045! I haven't driven it yet but I bet it will help.

i have the corksport 80mm, will eventually add the j & s pipe. I think it looks and sounds great

greased my bushings one last time to see if i can save them from being replaced

my car was savagely attacked this morning. covered in s***. ******* birds

Block is getting pulled this week and sent to the machine shop. Getting bored .020 over, assembled and balanced, should have it back next week! Then will just be waiting on the doc b oil pump.......can't wait to have my car back.

on the stock block?

got my mounting issues situated today. got the cams installed and did the timing belt. got my seized passenger axle out. going to use the metal saw at work tomorrow to cut the axle off. then gotta press in new hubs. the car is coming together nicely. bunch of stupid little s***. then again thats what happens when you do a swap on a car that has 200k on it.

I changed my timing belt, accessory belts, water pump, passenger side axle, and radiator out last week. (I installed an awr msp replacement, and i must say that you definitely need to pick up the RIGHT radiator cap for it, as i found out that the factory one will not work, no matter how much you want it to. And i just changed the tranny fluid over to synchromesh today. I noticed a huge difference in the transmission engagement from that. Alot of work, and so little time.

Thad.

good to hear you like the synchromesh. i will be picking up some pennzoil synchromesh for my tranny soon.

Gotta change my tranny fluid soon too. Im going to try redline mt90 tho. Ive tried gm syncromesh on my old ride and its a good product.

i hear ya on that safezone. thank god i have my mom's car to drive for another 2-3 weeks if i need to. ran into several issues doing this swap. i don't want to see anything past the cylinder head for a long time.

oh i know (outlawstar98)...im driving a suzuki xl-7...i hate that damn car. its so hard looking at my car in the driveway with all that forged goodness and it's not quite ready. its killing me on the inside with anticipation.
