What have you done to your MSP today?

I don't like Kuhmo's because every one of their tires I've tried or driven breaks free wayyyy to easily, regardless of dry or wet pavement.

Nah, its only when they're cold and there's salt on the road.

In other news, I did some photoshopping for fun. This is how I want my MSP to look someday. Graphics will be vinyl so I can go back to stock easily:

i remember when i had ecsta supras on when it snowed. now that was fun

The tires are stretched quite a bit. This whole wheel selection was quite the experiment. I knew what it would take could get the look I was going for, the tire size was the x factor. The fronts fit great, no rubbing at all. The rear rubbed on hard turns. So I rolled the again giving them a slight pull this time. No I have ZERO rubbing issues. Making me confident that next time around I can shove some more meat in the wheel wells. I was just looking to push the envelope and try something new.

What suspension are you running? Any camber?

Nice. Set up looks awesome by the way. I always tell myself the racing harts are nice enough but seeing stuff like that makes me want something else. Especially those projectors! Those are just too sick... and make me jealous lol.

Intently thinking about new wheels for the spring, and will probably need a new set of tires for the racing harts to keep as my winter wheels. I'm a little torn as to whether or not I should powdercoat the RH's. For a while, I was all for getting them black, but I saw a picture of an MS3 with white RH's and honestly...I drooled all over my keyboard. Regardless I am all psyched to get a set of MB weapons. I have seen 2 members with pics of them and I am in love. Anybody got a picture of white RH's on their msp? I'd like to see it.

take. wing. off.

jk. not much of a body decal guy but would most definitely be interesting to see what you end up doing with it in the future. i know you'll keep it clean :)

IMO you should not do the vinyl. You're setting yourself up for tons of comments. But in reality it is your final decision and how you feel about them that matters. What are your plans for the car? If it is show then the vinyl is more understandable for me, but if it is just a car for driving, spirited or not, you should stay away from something that in many people's eyes will put you in the rice category. Your car you pick, but since you asked for a peer opinion that is mine, No don't do it.

Updated the photochop... Feedback?

not bad. the yellow calipers set off the yellow pin stripe nicely. but the overall graphic is a bit too "fast and furious." maybe try a solid gray line with the yellow pin stripe instead of the "dotted" line you have going?

Fixed and yah, I'm not a graphic guy either. At all. I like my cars clean and uncluttered. BUT, I think yellow is an awesome accent color with the car and am throwing around ways of getting it in there in addition to the calipers, which are going to get painted no matter what. Thought about a pin-stripe, but that's too subtle, but that's one of the better ways I found of doing it.

Not SUPER clean, and pretty aggressive, but I think I can get it done by my friend for about $100 or so, and it might be a worthwhile experiment...

my friend had those exact stripe things on his civic

Funny you said that. I was just thinking the exact same thing, except the civic I saw them on was not of a friend, just some guy who comes into the Honda dealership I work at. As a matter of fact, it was there today.

Is it the type of guy you laugh at with the rest of the guys when he comes in?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm playing with a lot of different options and I'll be sure to post them here to help me make a decision. Frankly, I don't see myself doing any more mods to the car besides lowering it and maybe a SSAFC. The car drives just the way I want it to and I don't want to risk reliability in any way. That said, I do want to make it a bit more... mine... meaning aggressively subtle.

I agree the F&F dotted stripe is a bit much, especially for a Mazda, but you get the idea what I am going for design-wise. Nothing is going to happen until the spring time, anyways. By then the snow/salt will clear and I will have the money to finish the car, and finish it right...
