What have you done to your MSP today?

I got my new Clarion VX409 installed this weekend

are you sure the tires are stretched and not tires with a rim guard lip on them?

The tires are stretched quite a bit. This whole wheel selection was quite the experiment. I knew what it would take could get the look I was going for, the tire size was the x factor. The fronts fit great, no rubbing at all. The rear rubbed on hard turns. So I rolled the again giving them a slight pull this time. No I have ZERO rubbing issues. Making me confident that next time around I can shove some more meat in the wheel wells. I was just looking to push the envelope and try something new.

oh i cant tell by the pic cause of the light reflecting off the wheel but with those numbers, then yeah that is stretched

I thought 8" rims were a stretch to fit on the MSP. What kinda spacers and setup did you use to get 8.5" to fit?

No spacers at all. The wheels are 8.5 wide with a 30mm offset.

On the inside between the strut and the wheel I actually gained 6mm of clearance. The outside edge of the wheel comes out 44mm farther that the stock wheels.

Yeah, the aggressive wheel thread got me thinking.

After that I started reading about the style quite a bit. I even tried on a set of RPF1's off my friends MS3. They were 17x9 40mm offset. The Barely fit the back, and didn't clear my front brakes.

Inspiration.

So... Found out how great Kumho Escta MX's are in the snow/cold.

Yeah, not so much... Breaking the fronts free when you roll into the throttle in 2nd gear, on dry pavement, is pretty severe...

I don't like Kuhmo's because every one of their tires I've tried or driven breaks free wayyyy to easily, regardless of dry or wet pavement.
