What have you done to your MSP today?

FlyHawaiian - Nice engine bay. Nice and Clean.

The injen only makes the turkey louder. Not sure about its gains. Maybe just a few hps. I wouldnt recommend the stock piping on a upgraded smic like Custommsp. Because the endpoints are made of almuinum the pipes just slide off. Well that has happened to me going up hill too :(

I'll keep that in mind... Thanks

Just changed my spark plugs. Ithough they were the originals, but were not. They were Bosch 2 platinum plugs. two out of the four tips were almost all used up and no longer in existance. Nice set of new Autolite Irdium plugs. Runs much better now.

Installed the waeponr collant resv and did an oil change tonight. I was going to install the parts for the oil pressure guage but it got too late. So ill do it next oil change. I got an idea of where the fittings need to be. So it shouldnt be too difficult.

As promised, my engine bay... Don't hate:

nice work! i don't think mine has ever looked that clean! what'd you use and what's your approach to cleaning the engine bay? I've never really attempted to do it, but seeing yours makes me jealous.

your car stock?

Thanks Ken. I really apreciate all you do, and for putting up with me. Just let me know what the word is.

When I did my old engine a couple years ago, the pistons took more time than anything else. Summer is a crappy time to order them cause of race season. They usually get back-logged in mid/late spring and it continues through the summer. You won't be disappointed when you get them though. Ken's a great guy to work with!

Thanks man! The car is "nearly" stock - just a few minor things. The engine bay was meticulously cared for by the previous owner and I've just taken care of it since. I reccommend a steam cleaning to get most of the gunk out. I then use two products: Griot's Garage Engine Cleaner, which is safe on nearly all engine parts and Griot's Garage Engine Dress Up, which is a simple aerosol spray. You just spray the engine cleaner on the engine, agitate the dirtier parts, and rinse off with a heavy mist. You don't want to power wash it, but a heavy mist to get it all out does the job well. If you have a CAI, I suggest covering that up. Afterwards, just towel dry what you can, or go for a drive and let the air/heat dry things off. Afterwards, just spray the engine dress-up over the whole engine (light coating from 12-18 inches away) and voila! Clean engine!

All depends on how anal you want to get. I consider myself a 7/10 on the anal scale...

yeah... poor choice of words... (cryhard)

Lets go with the OCD scale...

As a dues-paying member of the Oregon chapter of OCD, I salute you(nana).
I need to get busy on mine again... I thought it looked pretty good until I saw yours...
