What have you done to your MSP today?

The only thing that throws me off is the 8" wide. I know 16x8" will fit but not sure at what offset numbers, 46 sounds good to me though.

I think FDs have a 50 offset. So the 46 throws me off a bit. But i want these for when i start autoxing.

I've heard the fds need some kind of spacer to clear the caliper, making it less that 50, only a 4mm difference so you should be fine.

FDs need a spacer because the centerbore is smaller. what wheels are you gettin? I didn't think anything else in that bolt pattern 16x8 existed.

the wheels are from a 91 mitsubishit 3000gt. The wheels are 16x8 46 offset 5x114.3. I was thinking about slapping some 225/50 on them. Not sure on what tire yet.

Did you check the centerbore diameter to make sure you won't have hub issues? If no problem you should be ok except maybe for some camber issues.

Actually more like 2cm, I think. But its more the stress of cornering being moved out from the hub. A lot of BMW drivers with wide/lesser offset wheels adjust camber to keep rubber on the road in hard corners.

Im going this friday to check the wheels out(if he still has them). Ill test fit then buy. Hopefully they fit with no issues. I want these bad boys.

i tried some quick math and i think the inside edge of an 8" wide rim is going to be about 3.7mm closer to the strut compared to stock wheels... which should be ok. the outer edge of the rim is going to be 21.7mm closer to the fender than stock and 9.7mm closer than the weapons you have now(43 offset on those, right?). which means you need a gap bigger than 9.7mm inside your fender for them to fit. you could probably guaranty a fit if you raise your car, but who wants to do that?!

Hmm. thanks for the math Z. Ive been looking around for some tires for these wheels too. I wanted to go with a smaller sidewall but i cant seem to find it. Oh btw, if ur looking for good prices on tires check out tirerack.com. They have good pricing, affordable shipping and fast shipping.

well.. i put new Hankook ventus v2s on my car yesterday.. they seem to be good. gotta get a road force balance, and an alignment! boo.
