What have you done to your MSP today?

Sounds like a rod bearing....if your lucky and it just happened you can change the rod bearings. If you are still driving it and reving it you can kiss your crank good bye and if it locks up on you the rod and block will be going with it

how much will the rod bearings set me back? im honestly thinking just blow it up and forge a new one haha

new ? work for upstream on the msp?
what you want for it?

No, used, it came off the p5, it was the first o2 sensor if that makes a difference. I don't know, but I think all protege o2 sensors will work in any combination.

I figured $50 shipped, they're like $120 brand new I think, maybe more.

you're better off jsut tearing it down then...why blow it up? If you do that you might need a whole new block...

Why blow it up though your block is still in good shape and you run the risk of hurting your head and turbo. Park the car. Rod bearings will set you back around $70 I think. I help velocifero do his and it can be knocked out in a good full days time the hardest part is drilling the access holes in the trans to get the upper oil pan off. From there you can see if the crank has any damage.

damn this going to be fun haha thanks for the help and info shadow

hmmmm you sure the rear is on S-Techs too? That looks like stock height and is different than s-tech drops on other MSPs...somethings up...

or as Shadow102 and I were discussing...perhaps you've got P5 S-techs on there....

sounds like a possibility.. i didn't put them on.. nor would i know how to find out. YES they are Stechs though.

and what i did to it today??

well.. i would have taken pictures but it's pouring it's ass off here..

i swapped my racing harts for the Enkeis. Looks great. I took down the oil pan and cleaned er up and put a new gasket on it.(was leaking pretty bad)...
changed the oil obviously.. next-waiting on WGA from crossover.. need new rear springs.. dangit.

i was super bored today on my day off, decided to change the color of my wheels; from white to gunmetal...
