What have you done to your MSP today?

i installed my sls thermostat housing...the holes for the bolts were a bit too small...i had to drill them out...and the bolts wouldn't sit flush, so i had to hit it with a dremel. i started wiring my gauges...attempted to install my awr rear motor mount...yeah, i'm going to pull off my intake mani tomorrow for better access... pulled the passenger's side motor mount off so i could install the awr insert...it's ripped to hell...the top is separated and the bottom is torn, so i'm going to replace that...i pulled the vtcs out of a spare intake mani that i have...that's a work in progress.

tomorrow my plans are to finish wiring my gauges, pull the intake mani, complete the vtcs removal (need to p&p and fill the holes), do the same to the intake mani i have coming off my car (i'll have one to sell), make a trip to autozone for the following:
wire (for the gauges)
M10 1.5mm tap
M10 1.5mm bolt
quicksteel
intake mani gasket
exhaust mani gasket
downpipe - jpipe gasket

i need to order another passenger side motor mount and i am going to order the tranny mount (the full mount) from awr.

i forgot, i did pull all of the wires from the engine bay to the cabin for my gauges...I ran them through the grommet on the driver's side. i also pulled the air hose for the boost gauge through the same location and sealed everything with silicon (it was a rather large hole)...this was a PITA...when I was pulling the wire through, the grommet decided that it didn't want to be in the hole anymore...so i had to put it back in. i went ahead and pulled the ground wire for the LC-1 and gauges as well as the wire for the oil pressure sending unit, so tomorrow i'll only have to do the wiring that needs to be done in the cabin.

if you permatex the gasket for the intake to the head when you reinstall.. it should allow you to be able to remove the intake and not have to change the gasket each time.. just a lil fyi.. just dont permatex the intake side of the gasket or it will make it rip..

Got my thunder mani ceramic coated black and recieved my intake mani from protegegarage on Friday. So Ill be installing them this week. And next weekend Im installing the greddy turbo timer finally and a silver hose kit from corksport. Im excited!!

thats probably not a smart idea at all...you want to be able to remove the gasket at a later date, gaskets don't always last forever even if they are working properly >.<

yea lol, I speak from experience with having gaskets fail plenty as well lol

geez I need to go to bed though, damn! its 8 am now >.<

its not hard to remove if something happens to it.. just a piece of advice. if you dont wanna spend $5 everytime you take the intake off.. ive taken mine off 5 times since i have done it.. no leaks!

do you have any pics of how you did it ? i wonder how does your IM look with that on it..

it's not on the Im side.. It's on the head side. And it's just a thin strip of it.. Can't even tell.. I did it back when I was redoing my motor.. My cuz who builds 1/8 mile cars told me about it. Works wonders..
