What have you done to your MSP today?

All this talk of emissions and having to pay money makes me happy I live in a town that if they ever did decide to make people get emissions, they'd probably storm town hall with their deer huntin' rifles and lynch the committee who ruled that.

So... yay for me. Winder rules.... only slightly.

umm from my machine shop to get the rotating assembly balanced, bored .020 over, cleaned and hot tanked, Main align hone, installing new oil squirters and arp studs is gonna be about 500

Today I removed some metal pieces where the spare tire sits in order to fit the extra RX-8 rim i bought back in US to use it as spare tire, i hated the little piece of crap spare tire these cars brings..

my stock axel back rusted and snapped! So I HAD to get a full exhaust and thought 3" vibrant j-back would be sufficient!! ;)

can I get a better shot of the GT stuff you have in the trunk? All around please?

Well, I think my turbo is on it's way out and that's why I've been burning oil. In the past I've taken off the elbow right off the turbo and there's been no evidence of oil but today I removed the whole pipe and sure enough, down at the bottom there was some slickness. Nothing puddling or anything like that from what I can tell but I'm going to remove some more pipes tomorrow to see if there is any more oil down there. At least it's not my engine anymore...

Hey mazdaspeed20035,
Did you have your Gtspec trunk cage painted or were you able to get it the way you have it? Looks good also btw. I have been wanting to do that with a spare also, good to see what I will have to do to get a full size in there.

That car looks cherry in Spain. Nice representation for us less fortunate to have such a beauty of MSP in our hands. Nice job on the spare tire. I like those rims but I don't know how good they'd look on an 03 v. your gorgeous 03.5.

Washed the speed up nice today and then hit it with some Turtle Wax Ice. Lookded nice and shinny so tonight I went and took it out for some photos for the first time in 5 years hahahaha

Thread to come.

and you say I never sleep... gee. lol How hard was it to remove those crappy little metal thigns in the spare tire well?

It was easy, i only needed a Hammer, and thinking about TBK.. lol That's all. Well if you notice in the pictures i had to ******* dent the round metal s*** where the inside of the rim sits in order to slide the RX-8 Wheel with the GTspec Bumper trunk bar, i was not going to remove my Trunk GTspec Bar to put the rim in, so i dent that s*** with a hammer, anyways you can't see anything since is in the trunk, under the carpet, and under the wheel, I'm going to paint that area black so you can't really notice. I'm also going to do some piece to the floor of the trunk, because the wheel sticks a little bit out so now my trunk floor is not even when i put the carpet, but that's a piece of cake to fix, I'll post pictures of what I'm going to do to level the wheel with the floor of the trunk, i was tired of using that stupid thin spare tire, and you can't or need to avoid to use it in the Front Wheels so. decided to just take that s*** off and add my 5th RX-8 Wheel

Well GTspec now comes in Blue, the Orange have been discontinued, even tho is blue, it looks like it matches the color of my car. i like it alot.. i thought all of the GTspec Accessories were BS, and i was completely wrong, they have maded a world of a difference to my car along with my Tien Super Street Coilovers, AWR Adjustable Endlinks, and Corksports Pedders Front Suspension arm bushings. my car feels like is driving on rails i really doubt there is another better handling car out there than a Protege with Coilovers and Gtspec goodies..

Thank you very much for those type of words, they sure make me proud and to keep making this car better, in my opinion these are the best looking wheels for any protege, i've seen them already in 2003 MSP's, regular proteges, you should try them in your Spicy, you'll be the first one with them.

Man to me honest it feels very nice to be the only one in the whole European Union to have a mazdaspeed Protege driving around and with the stuff i have done to it. people look at me like, is that the Evolution version of Mazda, what model is it, what year, where you bought it from Japan ? hahaha all i say to them is, this is a Japanese Mazda with an American Muscle Heart and Soul !!!
