ooh that spoiler doesn't compliment the rest of the car at all. pirana's had to grow on me for awhile before i thought it looked good. a drop is def needed, and i think the dg front lip helps.

as for my msp today...i let it sit while i co-piloted the STi with my dad at autox. he beat me by .226 grr. first of all we set up the tires with way too much air pressure so i suffered from that since i was first up. too much air just caused the tires to balloon and had no good contact patch in the rear. i spun out on my first/second run, didn't get it on video though. my last two runs were clean, got those on video i think. the other thing that i had to get used to was the big increase in power. it's stage two now so the power comes a lot quicker and sooner so that also aided in my 180's. def took some getting used to.

rush ... now you'll have to update your sig. again! lol
BTW thanks for the info on the mazdaspeed badges awhile ago.
I picked up the MSmazdaspeed one and I love it!
THANKS!(thumb)
I know, as soon as I manage to dig up winter pics .. I go and pull all the winter stuff off the car, LOL.

Glad to hear you found a badge you like. :)

Changed the oil today, too. I've lost about a quart of oil per oil change for the last two changes now. Sigh.

Were you guys making adjustments between runs? We record and adjust accordingly so our pressures are always set.

Ditto - checking tire pressures in between runs is important. If you're not sure what the tires are doing, invest in some white shoe polish to put on where the sidewall meets the tiretread to see if you've got too much air or not enough...

no too mention with the power he is running a bug sprayer with water would do well to keep them cool

i always mark the edges of the tires in 4-5 spots with white chalk to see how far they roll. the rears hadn't rolled at all after my first run so i let down pressure evenly on both sides. 2nd run was a little better but still hadn't rolled hardly any. third run was clean but they still weren't set up how i wanted them. that pressure was liveable so i kept it like that instead of adjusting again and having to get used to a diff setup. it worked bc my last run was my cleanest.

5th out of 18 in Street Mod and 26th out of 60 overall. it was a tough pack yesterday. lot's of old faces i hadn't seen in awhile, maybe the winter had them itching to race again. this was the first of the season.

i know it's a little outdated, but i installed the joe p fpr. I don't notice that much of a difference but i'm sure it's doing something, at least saving some gas money.

same here, bought it when i picked up my msp back in august. A friend of mine was modding his turbo rsx type s for the upcoming race season so i figured i'd play around also, only took like 10 minutes.

not feeling that evo wing. unless it has the supporting mods to make it blend good.

if it was lowered with atleast 18'' rims, than ok. oh and a lip kit, but it looks pretty ricey...

im going to get rims, frount lip, new sideskirts and hood after i finish my exhaust and suspension, i just got the evo wing cause i found it at a good price, and well... i go for deals lol and since i dont make much money, well money i can use for my fun, it takes awhile to get it how i want

i found out that the carbon fibre trunk that i bought got dropped today before it got packaged up. ='( o well no cf trunk for me. looks like its time to either A.) buy valve springs and retainers B.) Buy Pistons or C.) wait 2 weeks and buy intergral cams.

go for the head stuff, fixing the head makes a big diff especially with turbo

yea i think im going to order the cams next because i know if i keep buying little 400-500 dollar s*** i wont ever have all the money together for the big s***(quaife, gears ect.) lol

there will be no part out thread lol. Im not going that big im going to try and hit the 350-375 range on the mpi/j&s combo so we will see how it works out. I plan on having my car down for a while so i figure why not do it right the 1st time instead of half assin it and having to re do it later

i agree wholehartedly about doing it right the first time. I didnt mean it offensively, I think people just get overwhelmed at that level since the car isnt made for that kind of power. 350whp on an engine that makes 115 whp na is big. I cant wait to see it all together though, its going to be a beast.

yea lol i know you didnt mean it ofensively. You have no idea how many times ive thought about switching to a better platform. But in the end i look at it this way those cars with better platforms (srt-4,evo,wrx,ms3,ms6) you see alot of them in the mid 300 range (minus the 3&6 lol). there is not one msp around here that has broken 250hp. So when its finished and it does come out i think it will suprise alot of people in the "scene" around here that normally would look at my car and be like yea it looks nice but its slow. Also not many if all msp go out to the meets around here besides me and a select few. So itd be nice to beat up on some of the better known mid 300hp cars.
