Earlier I installed the Progress rear sway bar. I thought the install was going to easy and what do you know. The brackets that hold the bushing didn't line up with the holes, they were smaller. So finding that out, another forum member and I went to AutoZone and got the Energy Suspension 7/8" greaseable bushing that came with the brackets and just used that. I also had to use P5 endlinks since the ends of the rear sway bar was hitting the lower control arm. But after the testdrive, this 22mm sway feels way nicer then the stock Racing Beat one.
Oh yeah, the nut that holds one of the screws on the rear crossmember? decided to snap itself off. Pretty wack because I look at the nut and it was tack welded like out bad LSD.
that happens due to the load and every car is assembled that way as far as nuts welded to crossmembers and such. All four of mine are gone and I replaced with just a through bolt and nut on the outside of the member.
Changed the oil myself for the first time on the MSP...yeah, i was lazy...
i changed the oil too
after going to a few places and being overcharged (50$+) i decided to change it myself.
and it took me no more than 15 minutes
so glad i did!
time to buy some turbo houses couplers and t-clamps...
I never got overcharged...its just become annoying lol. I have to go buy my own oil first (mobil 1) and then go to this drive in/out joint. They only charge me $14 since i bring my own oil but i figured this time I'd spend the $5 on the oil filter wrench instead and do both cars myself from now on...
I just have to remember to take the oil to the drop off site and not let it pile up in the garage lol...I still have my gear oil sitting in there from 4 months ago.
How often do you guys change oil? I'm on the twice a year plan, which ends up being about every 6000 miles. I should probably change it more often, but I only autocrossed three times this season. Next year I foresee a change before, halfway through, and after the auto-x season.
