What have you done to your MSP today?

egt gauge finnally finished and working.
GM syncromesh put in.
Randomly ran 9psi tonight out of no where, its been about 6-7 since i owned the car. Guess the real cool mid 50 degree weather had something to do with it, but there have been other cool nights since i owned the car and it didnt do 9lbs. i wasnt even full throttle.

be careful...you might be on the brink of having wastegate actuator issues
 
well. i'm taking the trans out tomorrow. next week i go to NJ to Dino to get it rebuilt, and the head(new speedcircuit) put together w/ twiggy cams, and cam gears. woot. then i'm pulling the motor, removing AC, PS and whatever. doing a wire tuck. and painting the engine bay. and peoples' thoughts?

Thats what crossed my mind. Startign to look around for what replacement i should go with. Doesnt the po171 code or soemthing very close to that mean your w/g is going out?

As of today i cleaned the interior real good, and bought new lug nuts to replace the powdercoated black ones on there now.

Installed gauges, turbo timer and intake today!

two questions tho:

1) Why does the turbo timer only work when i turn the key really quick? If i do it slowly the car shuts off

2) Why doesnt the remote lock work while the car is still on? I can only lock the car with the key if the turbo timer still has the car on.

1) no idea...

2) do you still have the factory alarm system? The OEM system is wired so that you cannot lock/arm the vehicle while it is still running.

for the life of me I cant remember if there was a fix for it, but I think most were just upgrading their alarm systems... Ill look into when I get home, but you can also look up other turbo timer threads... there have been multiple discussions on it.
 
I have the how to on bypassing the stock alarm so that you can lock and arm it while the TT is running....give me a min...
 
here you go, follow these instructions and you'll be able to arm your alarm w/ the TT running. just remember to turn down the sensitivity a bit so that the vibration from the car doesnt set off the alarm...

replaced rear pads with posi quiet, put in greddy sp2. Now i have a wierd smell, doesnt smell like exhaust so got to figure out what that is, any ideas? A buddy of mine said it was the new seals.

if it is a new exhaust piece then it is the manufacturing oils burning off. Does it kinda resemble a sulfur-ish smell?
