What have you done to your MSP today?

Yea but I've got a stock intake manifold, it's never even been taken off once.

Gotta get everything looked at by my mechanic. Turbo cars are so annoying.

You could still have a bad gasket or something like that. Sounds like a pretty weird problem.

well, i was driving to work last night and a new si came flying past melike he was the s*** or something. so i took off and he saw me and i floored it, i didn't think my msp was faster but it is. i was riding his ass and could have passed him but i was going like 115mph and i dont need that kind of a ticket now. anyway, so i pulled into the parking garage and it was hard to steer into a spot, i looked under the hood and the drive a/c belt was gone!! has anyone experienced this from driving fast? i just replaced it about a month ago.

today I will be doing my oil change... and then tomorrow I will be detailing the hell out of it. I plan to spend a good 6 hours doing everything from cleaning the inside even though its clean to washing and waxing. I even got a claybar kit never used it before but I hope it doesnt mess up my paint

clean the car good and use the lubricating spray and youl be fine. you dont have to be as gentle as u think(dont force it of course). most commercial kits arent that abrasive.

cool, I was just afraid of stripping the clear coat on the car, so what your saying is be firm enough that it isnt just gliding or grinding onto the car right?

Sounds like you may not have put enough tension on the belt. That sucks though, it didn't break anything when it came off did it?

I am about to go remove my exhaust. Gotta get a hangar fixed so it will stop rattling around in the back. Oh well, running open dp for a couple days will be fun :). Oh, ill have pictures of the windshield tint up tonight for those that were asking for them.

yea basically u clean teh car, then u spray the quickdetailer on a small area and u rub it back and forth until u can rub ur hand across it and its smooth (no contaminates). just keep it lubed and you wont do any damage, and really u wont do anything if its not lubed (cause it wont slide)but its gonna leave bad streaks if its not lubed. u just want a firm presssure as u glide it back and forth so that it can take off the badies.

i didnt see anything else broke so i hope everything is ok.

painted a MSM badge glossy black, and put it on the rear of my trunk. Also went rallying...(crazy)

placed 3rd in my own car show :P

congrats.

I drove my car to the autox, then parked it and drove a MS3, it's a fun car, but drives so different to the MSP, would take me a couple of events to get used to it and actually be competitve.

Yea i drove behind a few of those on a state-wide run we had yesterday. We went charging through some nasty mountain roads that were just SICK, and while i was able to keep up fine, it seemed like the MS3's in front of me were sticking to the road much better than i. Maybe the heavier body, or the wider wheel base, i dunno...but those things were rooted to the pavement and were taking the turns very well; accelerating out of them was real fast and they were mostly stock. Id like to get in a give one a try.

I changed my oil is well. It was my second time doing it, and it was much less messy than last time. I also learned that it's probably a good idea to let your engine cool a while before starting. Engine oil can get pretty hot and stays that way for a while...

How did the claybarring go? I'll bet your paint has never looked that good before.

welded a broken s-pipe
replaced the turbo studs
installed j-pipe

next week:
hopefully install oil/coolant catch can
re-install eManage

Today i plotted the most EVIL GENIUS plan ever for my MSP, i've been thinking about it alot and decided that.............I'm going TWIN TURBOED, it's genius, absolutely brilliant!!!!

PS:i'm not kidding either.

She got her oil changed and a new air filter yesterday. :)

(Twin Turbo??? That's MADNESS! Pure madness! :p )

you had better explain how you would accomplish this?

Thats going to need custom manifolds and lines ... a lot of work but anything is possible with enough money. You will probably have to run even SMALLER turbos than the 25 though. In turn maxing out the turbos efficiency range at a low psi.

Well, i can get two disco potatoes at 700 each, so i'll use them, i know a man that does beautifull custom turbo kits, he will build the mani and also the down pipes and IC tubing, i just need to get all the flanges then that part is set, tee's right off the block for all the oil and coolent feed and return lines, the forged block is in process, will get a full standalone EMS and also, if the Corksport intake mani is out by then i'll get that, new injectors, fuel pump, fuel rail, i am guesstamating around $5000 but i know it will be a little more, this will be a total masterpiece.

might as well make it AWD and rear engined!
