What have you done to your MSP today?

drove the baby for the first time in 8 days and she actually put a smile on my face. I forgot how quick it is now, and was completely unexpecting when i punched the gas pedal and my head was pitted to the back of the seat :) zoom-zoom! AND i get JDMsam-tuned tomorrow!! woo woo

upgraded from the msp rad to the p5 and added fans. nothing like not having to use zip ties to hold ur rad to the car.

now i just have to find the boost leak.

went to auto zone and got some 800 cfm low profile s blade pullers. they were 59.99 for 800 cfm and 49.99 for 650 so i went for the bigger ones. im gonna wire 2 in there since i have a 9" spal on the AC.

Discovered that I'm missing 1 of 10 bolts on the manifold! I'd start the car and everything is fine, then when I just tap the gas the needle wants to drop. It fights back lol.

After it warms up it's driveable but the idle sucks. Everytime coming to a stop it tries to stall.

Is there anything I can do to cover it up until I go to mazda for a new bolt????????????????????????????????

I don't think tape is a good idea but if it is someone let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like theres no threading in the hole is it suposed to be like that or is it just that dirty?

So when I go in there I ask for m8x1.25 x 25 or m8x1.25 x 30 grade 10.9? I'll buy 1 of each.

This is all foreign language to me so I just wanna be sure so they know what I'm talking about.

yea thats it. its in the nuts in bolt section. u know the rotating racks, its under the asian car section. they are silver hex flanged bolts.

if theres no threading u have a really big problem so u better hope its dirty.

Thanks really appreciaite the quick help. Let me go try and clean out the hole somehow and see if there's threading or not.

**** man it really doesn't look like theres any threading. How much are those bolts though?

The stock bolts say like 8.8 11g does that matter or????

they will be 10.9 grade. u need grade 8 or higher. the bolts are like 3.99 or somehting for 4. if theres no threading thats really bad, u might have to retap it larger, or get an insert put in so u can use the same size. ifur missing threads maybe it was tightened way too tight. they only need like 20 ftlbs of tq, its not alot.

just go to the store and youll see them, u dont have to worry about the grade cause they only come in one kind (hex flange that is, if u get normal ones then they arent grade 10.9)

to summarize:
m8x1.25 30 (or 25mm) hex flange bolts. Grade 10.9

thats all u need. worry not :)

Damn then theres no point in me going to buy the bolts if theres no threading. What would the insert look like, something with threading, please explain?

Can I weld a piece of metal or cast iron or something over the hole, would that work?

Cuz if I'm gonna get a Thunder manifold later on I'd have to make the hole on that manifold bigger too, I guess that could be done though since you have to do it to 2 other holes anyway.
