Grinded 2nd gear like whoa!! Wasnt too happy.

Ever since Mazda installed the welded LSD, clutch & flywheel ive been grinding 2nd & 3rd on occasion......and this is with easy driving, slow shifts. I was previously using Royal Purple Synchromesh Tranny Fluid before the installs, so im sure they drained it and threw in the Mazda Junk. I'll be adding Royal Purple once again, so im hoping the occasional grinding will stop :(
it should, if not go to GM Syncromesh and call it a day

can you change just the boots? a friend was helping me work and he sliced my cover, I was looking into replacing the ball joint but you have to replace the whole control arm, but If i can get away with just the cover i'll def go that route

I have replacement OEM boots but I haven't tried to install them yet. No idea as to how much trouble they'll be to change.

timing belt on, water pump going in this saturday.

smic is on of course and nology wires are going in this saturday aswell.

I popped my mod cherry. Turbohoses hardpipes and HKS BOV went in, oil change, tire rotation, DaveB rings. Gotta get those new HIDs from the GB in sometime soon too.

I'm already plotting other mods, this is not good for finances.....

Umm the base of the water pump is behind the timing belt isn't it. Why didn't you do them at the same time?

it didn't need a waterpump. then after we install everything, it needed it. its wierd but its wat really happened.

my car isn't over heating, its just the pulley that runs the waterpump does a winding sound so its either the bearing going bad or it needs to be tighted up more.

Wow! The third picture is amazing with the huge storm heading towards you. Again, the torque's look really good on you speed. Want to trade just to see how gold looks(lol2)

Thanks man I have to give you all the credit for me getting these rims I liked the way they looked on your speed so I knew I had to have these.

didnt get a chance to post it yesterday but i swapped in my new o2 sensor for my wideband and it works like new. yessss finally reading my afr again. running a tad rich bc Dana originally loaded a map for 10 psi when im at 9 psi to be on the safe side since my afr above 4k rpms was unknown.

also swapped in my new greddy type s bov and it seems to work alot better than my non adjustable hks ssqv. havent tinkered with the adjustment screw on the type s yet but its fine where it is.

Wich wideband do you have?

GReddy must of made a newer type RS. The one I just got it a tad bigger, and it actually blows off quite loud. The other one I had never blew off ever.(drinks)

Wideband is in and kickin ass, i'm running way rich, i have the DSM AFC loaded with the supermap, it should be leaner right?
