What have you done to your MSP today?

recieved MP3 side markers today and waiting to recieve HIDs on Friday! hopefully install everything early next week.
take the one minute and install the sidemarkers today, in case you didn't know they just pop off and back in.

i think it's pretty funny how poeple wait to install the new parts they get, when i have something to install, i just do, even if i have something else to do, the car comes first, now i have an intercooler and HKS muffler awaiting install because all the piping is gonna be custom made, but i really wish everything was in already

I left t3h MSP at my mother's house again... Turns out the off-road excursion I had a month or so ago wasn't as harmless as I first thought. Someone here suggested I get it re-aligned, and they were right. My tires were freshly rotated and have plenty of thread... except on the inside rim of the front driver's side tire where it's down to bare metal.

Awaiting new rims/tires AND an alignment... Yay for new rims, Boo for downtime.

Changed the OIL
Fixed the exhaust leak
found a FUEL LEAK
Freaked out
Had A Cigarret

Where were you leaking fuel from?

fixed my timing problem. smic is installed, car runs.

but i'm getting a squeeling sound out of my waterpump belt that is driving me crazy. it gets really hot, the belt also gets really hot.

Put in my PWR radiator I've had for over a month. Also got the car in the garage so I can tear it apart over the next few weeks.

Plus added some more Mazdaspeed Motorsports bling to the garage.

I entered the Protege into it's very first car show today and i came home with 2nd place Best of Class.

ok, ypu put your PWR radiator and you'r going to remove the engine?

hmm...isn't that working double?

Engine is staying in for now. List so far is: making a new exhaust for it, new brake lines, pads and rotors all the way around, timing belt, tie rods, ball joint dust boots, camber bolts, heat shielding in engine bay, remove all struts to check for leaks, load new fuel map and test, re-route vac. lines, clean, clean and more cleaning, alignment, trim fender wells... a few other little things and whatever other parts I feel like replacing as I go. Thankfully I have another Protege to drive while the 'speed is torn apart.

I put my new wheels on!

can you change just the boots? a friend was helping me work and he sliced my cover, I was looking into replacing the ball joint but you have to replace the whole control arm, but If i can get away with just the cover i'll def go that route

-changed plugs
-oil change
-inspected and re-tightened all my ic piping
-front and read awr adjustable end links installed
-tire rotation

thats all for today, i still have my dsm afc and wrx injectors that i have to install before i go to get it tuned properly and then its racing time again. i ran a 14.1 at 103mph 2 weeks ago here at calgary altitude of 1139 meters (3740 feet) above sea level which makes cars over here very slow compared to other places:(

just put way too many miles on my car, in two months i've put 9k on my baby, not to cool

Grinded 2nd gear like whoa!! Wasnt too happy.

Ever since Mazda installed the welded LSD, clutch & flywheel ive been grinding 2nd & 3rd on occasion......and this is with easy driving, slow shifts. I was previously using Royal Purple Synchromesh Tranny Fluid before the installs, so im sure they drained it and threw in the Mazda Junk. I'll be adding Royal Purple once again, so im hoping the occasional grinding will stop :(
