What have you done to your MSP today?

Finally turned the OEM battery to compost. It was so dead I couldn't even bump-start it. My Kenwood faceplate froze in "1/2 way, dead mode" during the jumpstart (notcool). I picked up some mini-fuses on my way home, but I'm secretly hoping it's fried so I can upgrade.

Fixed my coolant leak problem! Now I just gotta deal with the stench of coolant burning off the engine and whatnot for a few days, cause of what spilled during the swap.

And I got a new battery! DieHard Gold. Almost every single cell in my original battery was either bad, or about ready to go bad, LOL. Awesome.

Did you try the reset button? Mine does that ever so often.
 
i took the silencer out n it put a grin on my face driving around.

but now storytime:
so i saw a black evo 9 'se' and decided to follow. i caught him at a light and i asked him what a special edition evo was and aparently its the mr without the 6 spd. he said my car looked nice too. then the light turned green and we both take off normally but i make sure to spool up enough so the bov can be heard. then as were rolling down the highway he gets right up beside me and says 'yall be careful out there' i had a friend in the car and my friend replies with 'what?' and the guy says again 'be careful out there', then lifts his badge and goes 'im a cop' and he turns off at the next intersection. and this is me driving w/out a license. so i guess i have a little good luck left.
 
ended up getting a good deal on Kumho ASX 215/45/17 so i got those instead of the Falken 452. so far they ride really nicely.

most likely AWR side motor mounts next.

SMIC sprayer project in the works.
 
put some new wiper blades on lol and ordered my rota torques in full royal sport bronze(boobs)

but the wheels in the picture aren't torque's...i'm guessing you ordered them directly through rota. I need new wiper blades myself thanks for reminding me

yea they look like the wedsports i want.
 
If you guys are talking about my sig yeah there wed sports I believe I just photochopped the silver protege they had at tire rack then made it look like my msp. I liked it so I made it my sig but I think its a bit too big.

went in to try and change my wga (finally) that got nowhere and i took a break, did the drive around to heat it up thing, tried again, nothing.
cant get the stupid hot pipe off. squash that.
got inspected, whoopie.
then i took out my mechanical autometer boost guage and popped in my
new prosport electrical boost guage. wires were tapped from the
alarm which was easy access.

wierd thing is that my autometer was reading 0 in its generous zero box, but the prosport is reading 2 to 4 vac at idle. i thought that was odd.
 
What have I done to my MSP today?...howabout in the last week?

Let's see....yesterday I installed some new wiper blades (Michellin) and today I'll be installing my new Prosport Gauges (Boost, EGT, A/F Ratio) along with my Autometer triple gauge pillar. Last week I installed my Dual In Dash DVD player along with my American Pro 1000w amp and JL 12w3. Car is lookin good and soundin good!!!!
 
Decided to remove my heatshield for polishing and check the exhaust manifold and valve cover bolts to see if any were loose. Sure enough a few were. Its a good idea to check those ever so often and snug them up, but don't over torque them. 10mm on the valve cover and 12mm on the exhaust manifold. You'll need to use a combination wrench to get at the lower middle three.

After I did that, I devoted some time to my other Mazda engine. Decarboned the pistons. Getting ready to install a new head on it.
2.2 SOHC 12V Turbo.
