What have you done to your MSP today?

Oh yeah I always boost (since i maybe drive once a week so i get my fun out of it) but like i said i have never hit redline cause quite frankly i dont know the history of the car. Based on the ghettorig job the previous owner did on the boost gauge (wire just running across engine bay, but i cleaned it up), bottom of front lip scraped to hell, used conventional oil, messed up engine bay (cracked engine cover, bad vac lines) I dont know if any engine mods have been done (i dont think so) and I dont know how they treated it. I cant afford to blown a motor right now and i cant afford a new lsd (now i have some money im getting it welded this summer) that is why im afraid to push it cause i love my car and i would hate to be without it (unless im modding it)

I use conventional motor oil, It seems to be working just fine. I burn no oil at all and change it EXACTLY at 3000 miles.

^im not saying conventional is bad but what i meant was looking at the apparent lack of care to the rest of the car i doubt they changed oil when they should and using conventional is worse if you are late on an oil change compared to synthetic. I started using synthetic for the first time to try to make up for any misuse the previous owner did

why use synthetic if the manual recommends regular oil. and really the difference in quality is greatly exxagerated

my car is running better, replaced all 4 injector o-rings and re-wired them! yay for a quick fix. Next up, cam install ;)

sidenote__what do you guys think of this muffler JIC Magic DE type-1

Muffler is ok. If you really wanna do something different...get the canisters that are like the one from Toda or J's Racing (limp dick...haha)

Major difference lies in how often you need to change it. Synthetics suspend particles/contaminants more effectively and does not require changing as frequently when under normal wear & tear.

there is a test out about different oils. by brian mp5t..he posted it anyways.. the one that did best was royal purple. lots of the synth oils didn't do as good as some conventionals... weird.

Didn't do it today but yesterday.

Put in 3 qrts of syncromesh in the trans and its that all my shifting issues are gone! my werid 2-3 shifts no longer have a werid feeling in it and no longer has that just on the edge of grinding again. Plus I think the trans shop who rebuilt my trans put in used ******* gear oil. Theirs no way that "new" gear oil should smell burnt in a few months!
