Damn, sounds like you need to get rid of the car. When was the last time the car was running good for you?


about 20 secounds before it died.... lmfao. Eh its a used car and s*** is going to go out on it or at least thats what I keep telling myself... Its funny that my lats pro had the orig alt at 170k and this one didn't even make it to 80k. Oh well 230 bucks later i have the alt at least... Yes thats due to the core charge before people flip out. The alt is roughly 170ish after I return my core....

Now to just get off my ass and change out the alt and then go work a 12 hour shift... not my idea of fun. Eh I may just put it off tell friday and do it and just drive the truck two more days... I have only been driving it for the past month or so. Big difference in the gas bill between the two esp. when you drive roughly 60 miles a day.



Edit: It gets better! Not only did I not make it 1 block from the trans shop I locked my key in the car! I hadn't put it on my key ring yet. So after calling around I dawned on me that maybe just maybe the car might have enouh juice to unlock the doors! I tried to unlock it and didn't even get the lights to blink! So I tried it again for the hell of it and it had just enough juice to unlock the driver rear door! 8) The rest of the doors remained locked.

It gets even more interesting btw... The flat bed gets their and get load the car up and off we go! it starts raining like the bottom of the sky just fell out. The truck didn't have any sort of operational HVAC system! yes you heard that right no defrosters! So teh driver had to wipe down the windshield with a wrag the entire trip back to my friends house where the car currently sits. The battery has been yanked out and is currently charging. So we wont have to push it off the street tomorrow.

Oh yeah well my CEL for a P2006 came back on... (though the car runs just fine and I still get my 400 miles or more per tank). However, it should be fixed rather soon. I just gotta make some time to head down to Mazmart, get them to ship it, or have someone who loves me pick it up, give it to WMBeaver, who then can in turn bring it to me at work.

replace your vac lines or least thats what did the trick for me.
 
just got back from the stealership to get my remotes programmed. yea that's right, i've had the car for a year now and just NOW got my remotes programmed. so naturally i go out to my car and use the key to unlock it LOL...i'll get the hang of it eventually. also bought an oil filter and they forgot to give me the washer. idiots.
 
you went to the dealer? To program the stock remotes? How much that cost? There is a how-to to do it free.......
 
to turn the key 6(?) times and press the door dimmer button 6(?) times? then push the button on the remote?
