oh, no! what happened to gold??
I change my mind a lot. haha.
Do you think I could paint the wheels gold and have it look good?
your other set of gold wheels looked amazing, and the sample pic of the gold racing harts you posted recently looked awesome too. painting them is a lot of labor and you have to do it right for them to look good... but you could probably pull it off. no money for powdercoating i guess?
I have the money, I just don't feel like dumping it on that yet. I could buy my short shifter and ecu flash for the same price and jump on the tranny swap. The Powdercoat guy wasn't found of gold either so it wasn't really helping him sell the deal.
I'm gonna mount the wheels today and worry about powdecoating/painting them later, I was just curious as to if I could get away with painting them since your wheels look so damn good.
hehe... i was gonna say you should just try the stock silver RHs first and see what you think!
honestly, i spent about 14 hours in labor on my wheels and paid attention to every detail to get them to look like that. my fingers are still bleeding...

btw- what do you think of those kumhos? they look kinda bad ass...!
Well its too early to tell. I got them put on yesterday evening and only had the ride to/from the train station to test them out. Kumho reccommends a 500 mile break-in period before really pushing them, which is akin to shaving the tires, I suppose. I'm not gonna baby them for 500 miles, but I won't drive on a track with them until then. From the little spirited driving I've done on them so far, they seem to hold well, but the ride is really smooth and much less tire roar than with the previous Falken Azien 615s. These Kumhos have been wiping the floor with the other tires in the dry, but I'm suspect of their wet performance. Oh well, just can't drive like an ass in the rain I suppose!
I'm really lookin forward to pickin up star specs... heard nothing but good things about them.
Yeah, I'm assuming you read that Car and Driver tire review too. They won the comparo (Kumhos came in 3rd) but that's because they had better wet characteristics. I take it easy in the wet anyways, so I'm not looking for race-car performance in the rain, but am looking for the top dog in the dry. Kumhos blew EVERYTHING out of the water (no pun intended) in the dry.
intalled my apexi r1 3'' catless exhaust. i must say it sounds like a beast. looks badass with the angled muffler
Yea I got 2 tickets cause of that fker, open downpipe. Extremely loud.
you go tickets from the open downpipe or the apexi?
Open apex r1 catless downpipe,no midpipe,no muffler. I sold it awhile back to someone on here, i think zuku... something.
