What have you done to your MSP today?

Well I stoped by the shop that put the motor mounts and inspection and ect on 2 weeks ago, cause my car was leaking oil. They didnt notice putting it back on, but the oil return tube was cracked and leaking slowly, I just have to pay for the part and they are going to put it in. Now im just waiting on the part from mazda.

ordered new pads, might paint the calipers while i'm at it.

here's a thread on the matter:

lot's of chatter and some good pics on the last page. i think it comes with instructions and the AXR website also has instructions. the install is pretty straight forward. the only little trick for me was that the instructions say to first install the AXR brackets/bushings before removing the stock brackets/bushings. but i had to first remove the stock setup just to get the sway bar to align properly with the new. anyway.... good luck!

In the very near future I will be cutting the muffler out of the equation and just putting a pipe under the rear passenger door. I am tired of the stock quietness (which is actually surprisingly loud for what it is).

Edit: There is a guy who is good with exhausts and if he thinks he can do it, we may go straight pipe with the resonator.

Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to getting this fixed and having the rear end as tight as it should be. Now that I have new (AMAZING) tires, the extra stiffness is gonna result is some awesome handling. Once you remove the original brackets, the sway bar will just hang there by the endlinks, right? How long (approximately) did it take you guys to do the install?

yup, once you remove the stock brackets it will just be swaying(pardon the pun) in the breeze. might have to prop it up with something while you install the new brackets. can't remember how long it took me.... if you have your s*** together and are good at this sort of thing, maybe 1-2 hours. otherwise... all day!

I average about 2x the expected time to complete, so I'll figure 3 or 4 hours. We'll see how it goes - Gonna do it on Saturday afternoon...
