i dunno if im liking the color. but the color change is neat. i might mute the color a little with a bit of basecoat over top depending how it looks in the sun.

although yea.. the color heh. i picked this charcol pearl to use for my interior parts and wanted this to match, but saw this mystify stuff on sale that looked neat. ah well. if im not feeling it tommorrow, ill just primer over it and hit it with the grey i have.
Honestly didn't want it to scream look at me that much

Replaced the coolant last night and after talking to Korey (Shadow102) I boiled the Mazda thermostat and it opened at the correct temp (using a thermometer) so I reinstalled that instead of the autozone one.

He thinks my issue is due to the radiator cap, and it sounds like it. either way, i flushed my coolant since it needed it and got a replacement cap from autozone till my new mazda one comes in on Thursday.

The stock cap didnt even need to be pushed down to be twisted off so it seems like that was the problem....

I made a mess with coolant on the garage floor lol had to mop after the fact.

I had the same problem with my car. I changed the thermostat and it helped a lil bit but still had a overheating problem, but then i took a look at the cap and the rubber was melted so there was no seal at all.

But my crank came in yesterday and i now have all the pieces needed to get my motor done yay. Cant wait to get back on the road

So, my fellow MSP'rs, i pass onto thee a question which i needeth thine opinion. An opinion which i shall take with ye old grain of salteth, but i place much value into. I want only those of you, whom love your cars to answer.

I have the opportunity to get my car painted professionally semi-flat black for very cheap. This will include doors and jambs and trunk etc. all but the engine. but if i ever to a rebuild ill get it done. I want to know what you guys thing. Im not a super import tuner so im not doing it for the scene. I happen to like the color. Plus if i get chips i can just touch it up quick.

Right now, my blazing yellow looks like its been through the smallest recorded meteor shower in history. It really bothers me cause i put so much love into the car and i hate seeing her like that. So im kinda considering doing this. It will be professionally sprayed. Its not completely flat, you can wash it still just no wax. Which is also a plus for me as i hate waxing it lol.

So what do you guys think? I dont want to do a disservice to MSP'rs by changing the color, but if done right... its pudry like. and i dont know if anyones done it yet to a msp.

heres a pic of the color i want.

I actually like it. But I think the wheels would make or break it. Do you have stockers? Or something else? I don't think the stock MSP wheels would go well with it. Just my .02

nah i sold the stockers about 3 months after i got the car. heres what i have now. i was going to keep them silver if i do this. it would be a nice contrast. Although the gold is scrumptous too.
