Wait, Boricua.. that gear oil is a really weird weight, you know that, right?

I've never used anything other than 75w90

the bottle said its works for manual transmissions.

Yeah but they sell max gear in different weights. I have max gear in my car right now too, but the 75w90 variant like the owner's manual specifies.

you know what i'm just going to stay on the safe side. i'm going to call the guy and not have that fluid installed. instead he can put his own mobile 1 fluid.

thx for the heads up. i was aware of the weight, i just thought it wasn't that big of a difference.

edit: called him. he's not going to put it on. i have to go exchange my fluid for mobile one now.

i went and installed a boost guage again. currently reading 8-10 VAC ...dammit. i gotta figure out that leak. checking manifold and hoses tomorrow.

I cleaned the inside of my intake and the intake side of the turbo and my little spooler. Night n day difference from cleaning alittle dirt. Awesome. It's like my car woke up.

Update

i went and exchanged my royal purple for mobil 1 75 90.

they had to tow my car out of its spot because the snow was holding it back and its a bish to push a car in the snow. after it was out of its spot, i helped them push it back in to the lift and i saw my old LSD. damn thing snapped in two. he said, wtf man u be racing this thing? i said naw, these cars are know for lsd failures.

getting her tonight. can't wait, its been 2 weeks. been in slow cars since then. i can't wait to play with my car again!

well my damn headlight burnt out last night! frickin silverstars now i have to unload another whopping $20! a little over priced i believe. on the car less than one year.

good catch, 75w90 is what you want to use. yeah, i think all MSP LSDs break like that. you saw my pics in that other thread.

mine just burned out too, this is number three in a year and a half, i need to find a better deal.

those silverstarts are really bad bulbs. save face and buy something that will last you a bit.

i've had oem bulbs for over 1 year. they lasted a while. luminics bulbs blow about 3 months after use. i had mines burn out after 3 months. never bought another set again.

I also had them they were out with a quickness never bought them again. Stood with oem bulbs and got laminex covers instead.
