What have you done to your MSP today?

not so much of a new build thread as a "we now join this already been in progress a while build"
Wow your engine bay is clean! Looks like you were vary lucky in your accident. I just lost my lazerblue speed to a rear end collision with an suv. I'll find a clean shell someday.

Well my radiator didn't show up today, so I guess I am gonna throw some JB weld on it and see if it will hold water

All things considered yes I've been very lucky. I walked away from that with minor injuries. And thanks I love a clean bay!

were you able to part that out? i see lots of good stuff still ;)

yes I parted it out the new mp3 got the motor (it since went boom boom it now has a jdm swap in it, engine #3) and a lot of the mp3 specific parts as my original was well kept and the new one wasn't as much. The msp got the remaining good suspension pieces and the full mp3 interior, front and rear seats, center console, cup holder, door cards, was swapped in to replace the in my opinion not as nice msp interior. It also has a black Canadian gauge cluster, a black Miata Nardi wheel, black mazda 6 door handles, custom blacked out cup holder, etc. lol catching a theme anyone? So its soul lives on in two proteges now!

SO.... we are gonna need some pics, dude.

lol.

I'll get some pics of the msp up asap and I'll start a thread soon right now time is short I live in a tourist town and its the peak of the season so I barely have time to do anything because of work. That's how I make the $ to spend on two cars though lol!

Cant see it but it has the SR camshafts, SR cams, and SR lightweight pulleys. Stock bottom.

Your recirculation setup is interesting.. is that a Forge? It looks like its going into a custom bung in the hotpipe, but how is it connected to the coldpipe?

I've noticed a little bit of "jerkiness" when shifting (in boost) from 2nd to 3rd.. I am thinking that my setup needs some adjustments maybe

The injen intake has a c shaped tube that it is connected to its in the shadow in the pic I have no jerkiness and the turkey is almost nonexistent unless I slam on the throttle which I never do because I'm 42 yrs old and don't have to rage like that anymore and I have nothing to prove either I just like having a nice car.

OK.. I'm confused. so its routing from the hot pipe, into the INTAKE? like the pipe off the turbo? OR does it go into the coldpipe, to the throttle body? Are you saying that you used an injen intake and fabbed it to work as part of the coldpipe? i want to be clear about this, because a setup like this is kind of the direction I was thinking about going (my BOV is a cheapo and too loud after a while)

However, I was thinking about getting two of those couplers with the 1" side outlet.. and recirculating that way

This is the corksport intercooler tubing kit that I was lucky enough to get so it was already fabbed to be an easy ish install it had the routing designed into it so with the injen intake it was like a hand in a glove everything lined up where it was supposed to go except for some vacuum lines also it has the 626 intake so the vacuum lines are setup a little different.

you can see where the bpv is connected to the c shaped tube and then where that is attached to the intake tube which is located between the MAF and the turbo, the filter end sticks through the conveniently located hole on the side down to the lower bumper cavity. the coldpipe goes to the throttle nothing else is currently going to it or coming from it on some setups I've seen a bov in this location as well and some relocate the MAF to here too.
