I've had the clutch off about 10 times and never had to use an alignment tool. I just eyeballed it.

I've had to take mine off 3 times and have never used an alignment tool. It is just recomended to make it easier. Hand tighten the 6 bolts around the clutch plate and make sure the clutch is centered all the way around the plate. It shouldbe almost flush with the edge of the plate. Then tighten it like a wheel while checking the gap/spacing as you go around the clutch plate.

I'm putting the welded diff back into the transmission... I won't have a car after Thursday, so until thepope sends me the transmission I paid for two weeks ago, that he told me he'd have shipped out 3-5 days later, I'm gonna use that and hope it will hold until I actually receive it...

Unichip can actually tune ignition, not just retard it, which is all the SSFTC can do. If you were in an area with an authorized tuner I would definitely reccomend the Unichip. It worked great on my car, but the nearest unichip tuner to me is like 8 hours away, so I had to go stand-alone (well parallel EMS if you want to get technical).

I guess what I'm really for is something with the most capabilities to have a performance shop tune.

Mishimoto radiator arrived... Set it next to the car, so that kinda counts as doing something to it, right?

5th time pulling this tranny swapped in a new clutch and in neutral my rpms hover about 2k push in the clutch and rpms are normal again. My old clutch was chattering toward the end so I had to raise the pedal a bit to allow a little more disengagement or it would bog the motor on occassion. I brought the pedal back to normal and every other position and still WTF! I had to resolder a wire to the sensor on the front of the tranny... thinking maybe thats the neutral safety switch and didn't get a good enough solder joint.

Sensor on the front of the tranny is the backup switch, nuetral switch is on the backside under the speedo connection for those without abs just fyi

Neutral safety switch or wiring is a documented cause of your complaint. See if there is a P0507 stored in the fault memory.

Well, we wont be seeing that price for the Illumina kit again...Got in touch with someone there and the price was to reduce their stock. The best he could do for me was an additional 20% off coupon code but that still put the kit at $784 which is pretty much coilover prices so I said no thanks.

Wow, no posts since mine at 5 o'clock yesterday. Weird. Is everyone dead?

nothing new to report other than it still runs like s***
