this is not true you can get reman msp axles. Go to napa and order them for a 2003 protege with mps2 suspension. I've ordered one first hand from them and compared it to my messed up msp axle and they are a dead match

Are you 100% sure they are 24mm axles and not 22mm? It dosent say on the website. The regular protege axles would also be a match and im not sure you could even tell the size difference by just looking at them. If they really are the same then thats a pretty fair price.

Yea I'm positive if you look at the reman axles they also have the cuts on the axle where it goes into the trans. Iirc msp axles are the only axles that have those cuts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I've never seen a non msp axle OEM or reman that has them

I would just call up and ask them to check the size.

They only have them in the warehouse so they have to be ordered, im not sure I could get the info from the warehouse.

Whats the chances of a non-msp axle being able to handle 300lbs of torque?......

Oh damn, that's good to know. Thanks for the heads up. I thought I was going to have to buy a set a while back, and didn't know you could get them reman. I almost paid like 500 a peice from the dealership.

Talk to kooldino @ Speed Circuit about it. He's been running 300+ whp for... longer than I've been on this forum. He knows his s***. He ran stock MP3 axles for probably around 8 years.

I haven't broken stock protege axles on the street and they have held well over 350ft/lbs of abuse for several years with sticky rubber on there. I imagine a few trips to the track would eventually do them in but I rarely launch hard from a stop on the street.

What's the average time ran for the 1/4 mile ? After this weekend and I finish the FMI , I plan on taking her to the track for a test run ... Wasn't sure what they normally run on the 1/4 ....

I'm looking at getting new couplers to relocate my MAF and was wondering if anyone knew where the best pklace to get them from would be. I need two of them going from 2.5" to 2.75"

They run about a 15.2-15.4 stock, with the FMIC and stock exhaust/tune and good tires and driver I would guess 14.5-14.7s would be possible. With a catless exhaust, DP, piggyback/EMS, FMIC and good tires and driver I would consider 13s a possibility.

thanks!

NP they are cheap (for silicone couplers, plus $30 slim fans too), fast shipping and they have pretty much every single combination of sizes and a few different colors.

Federated Auto Parts also has them. That's where I got mine from. 80-3787 is the Empi number and they're BRAND NEW.

I've quit my job, and started with a new company, so I haven't done anything to the MSP except drive it.

As soon as I start getting paid again, I'm going 2.75" catback
