What have you done to your MSP today?

I'm looking at getting new couplers to relocate my MAF and was wondering if anyone knew where the best pklace to get them from would be. I need two of them going from 2.5" to 2.75"

A 2.5" strait coupler can be made to fit over the MAF... just takes a little bit of working with it.

Okay , so I will have the FMI , I have corksport DL SLS mid pipe with single cat.. rest of the exhaust is stock .. no pickyback yet.. not sure what to get on that and money wise as well... So maybe high 13s , 14s then ....

My Haltech F10A will be for sale very shortly hellacheap with a free laptop and many fuel maps 100x better than the SS AFC. Can be set-up easily to swap back to stock ecu in seconds. Datalogging and closed loop control can be had with a wideband 02.

BTW you know you visit the forums too frequently when you look at the tabs you have open in your browser, and there are multiple Mazdas247 open. (breakn)

I wouldn't expect to run 13s. Be very happy with mid 14s and don't be discouraged if you barely break into the 14s. For engine management thats simple, SSAFC.

Damn those look nice. Would you be willing to make me a set? I have regular protege radiator brackets for my full size rad but they make the rad sit too far back so I need to make new ones .

I did "tune" the car and I'm running 10.7-11.4 under boost, but by the time I'm at top end I'm down to 10.4. I'd really like to keep it 10.9 or better until redline. I've got a "hiccup" at around 4,000rpm that I can't fix. Another user on here told me that it was when the ECM was switching between open and closed loop, but that's when I thought it was at 4,500rpm. I'm going to make sure that I save this map before altering it, because it's running awesomely right now.

The hiccup is definitely caused by the switch to open loop. I think the switch actually occurs somewhere between 4k and 4.5k but don't quote me. Unfortunately you really can't fix that with a piggyback unit.

so anything arounf 14.2-15 would be about average then. Any recormendations for a SSAFC/piggyback/tuning tool, thats not extreemly $$$ ...

Haven't done anything today but tomorrow morning im taking the car to my friend's garage and putting it up on the lift so we can find the problem.. the knocking sound I was hearing is a million times worst now and it seems to be coming from around the tranny, im suspecting the axles (hopefully) since the transmission seems to be working perfectly. I may end up getting standard protege axles if I can find them quickly since I need the car back asap.

try to find a used SSAFC is your best option.

Not really.

And I'm getting tired of the noise. I've decided when the dust of bills settle this payday, I think I'm gonna order a muffler for my custom exhaust. I've pretty much decided on a vibrant muffler.

Same here. I've gotten caught up on all my bills because I knew an employment change was going to happen, but I'm going with a Corksport muffler (axle back actually) as long as I get the money in time.
