What have you done to your MSP today?

my experience with china turbos/knockoff no name.. isn't that they are soo much bad but they don't hold up very long.. i went thru 2 in less then a year. first one the shaft broke second one seals blew out and it smoked like crazy.. its better in the long run to just pay the price for a garrett and have a turbo that is known to last and hold up.. but thats my personal experience.

post in my thread what turbo you had and who made it as well as if you had it checked and balanced before you put it on.

Thinking about removing the meth injection until I can afford a custom IM and direct injection setup. Been reading horror stories about single nozzle systems and uneven cylinder distribution of the methanol. Also the tuner in NC recommended I ditch the system till I can get a "real" system. On top of that I've had a bunch of problems; pumps going out, fittings blowing out and spraying methanol in the engine bay, lines coming out, etc, and now the damn hole that is tapped for the fitting is stripped out and won't seal the fitting for the nozzle.

Very frustrated.

My clutch release cylinder decided it didn't want to hold pressure anymore and exploded fluid all over my engine bay and left me stranded on the road. Oops

Well I installed the Ricktalife/BoostedProtege's TWM short shifter today and had a hell of a time doing it lol, first when I was under the car I must have spun the shifter around and then I didn't get back out from under the car til I was done and when I did I realized I had spun the shifter around and installed it backwards lol.. Then I redid it ad stepped out from under the car and realized I didn't put the bushings from the stock shifter in it.. Got under the car again and took it apart, then I guess since it was used, someone left their busings in it because I didn't need the ones from mine. Then I get out from under the car again and go the try the shifter and see the feel, and since it didn't coke with the bushings for the heat shield it was rubbing.. So I had to do some custom bending of the heat shield lol.. Honestly I don't even think the bushings are really necessary, I mean I only bent it a little and it fits perfect. But now all is good:) after a few hours of being pissed off, it's all good:) my shifts are hardcore shorter I feel like I'm not even going in gear lol. But overall a satisfied customer:) Thanks to both Ricktalife and BoostedProtege for your piece of equipment!

Glad it worked out for you. For the record, I'm pretty sure I sent you the link to TWM's VERY detailed instruction manual that I thought was wetodd proof. Kidding :)

I'm sitting at my shop waiting for USPS to drop off the SSAFC...

How do you remove the rear brakes on the msp? It says for the p5's that there is an allen wrench to adhuat the piston but I cant find it on the msp rear calipers.

The pistons screw in I'm pretty sure, it's been a while since I have done them but the MSP brakes are NOT the same as the P5s. Should be a couple bolts holding the caliper bracket on and two bolts securing the caliper to the bracket.

i haz one of those

i also picked up a full p5 leather interior to swap into the msp for $50......its pretty perfect. ill upload pics later.

They also rent for free at autozone a kit that does the same thing, I just did the brakes on my Bullitt and the rears have to be turned to go back in and they let me compress them right there on the counter without renting anything.

Install complete. Took it on a drive and it definitely feels a lot smoother through the 3-4.5k range...
Damn you installed it in only two hours! It took me about the same amount of time to install but couldn't get the AFC connected to my laptop and it had some wacky tune on it so it ran like crap for a bit. Now though with the FMIC map the car runs great.
