My 2871 center section gets dropped off today to get it's balance checked. Lets see how good this godspeed turbo is fresh out the box.

So I started up my car after work, let it sit in idle for a few, start smelling some god offal smell , kinda burning smell drove home and obv it stopped and then started to come through my vents, popped my hood, no smoke.... Smell was comming from right where the belts are, go figure .... Have no idea if that's what it could be, but didn't smell any where elts .... Any thoughts ....?

possible alternator going bad? Have you checked to see if your belts are rubbing against anything?

If you got the V1 the install is super easy. My car ran fantastic when it was just SSAFC, FMIC, intake, and exhaust, so I'm sure yours will too.

I have FMIC, 505zoom, intake, exhaust, and other mods and I feel that my car needs a tune terrible. Oh and im running V1 superstock map.

I'd be interested in seeing this thread yield some information from people who have actually purchased these things. A few months ago I thought my turbo was going out and at the time I wasn't in a position to spend $1100 or more on a new turbo and was going to purchase one of these Godspeed units, but ended up repairing my turbo.

just got a call from the turbo shop updating the thread with some interesting info.

my experience with china turbos/knockoff no name.. isn't that they are soo much bad but they don't hold up very long.. i went thru 2 in less then a year. first one the shaft broke second one seals blew out and it smoked like crazy.. its better in the long run to just pay the price for a garrett and have a turbo that is known to last and hold up.. but thats my personal experience.
