What have you done to your MSP today?

Drove her to a local downtown meet up last night. Greeted by a crowd full of haters giving me looks. I never go out (mostly because I'm old), so maybe that's why, but doesn't exactly make me want to take the car back out there.

How old are you? When I get my car running again, I'd love to go to a meet with you MSP'd up.
 
Removed turbo asseb. Changed rotors and pads. no bolts on the downpipe so gasket is gone. No place open on weekends that have that gasket in stock. No local friends have that gasket eaither.... Go to store to find sheets of stainless to make gasket. No one has sheets of ANYTHING..... got a old license plate we are going to cut up into a gasket LOL


Also made a overfill container for my rad out of a Monster can :P BOOYAH

Is this a joke? Lol you spent the money for a fully built motor + dozens of other mods and you're going to hack up a license plate so you can install a half assed gasket and pray you don't have an exhaust leak? If so... that's fine cause it's your car, I just wanted to make sure I'm understanding you correctly.

Changed the Throttle body on my car and it fixed my problem. It was the IAC sensor causing all the problems and the parts house wanted over 300 bucks for it with the discount we get through the shop!!! screw that! So I picked up a TB from Sean and just replaced the whole thing.
 
Put a new battery in the truck today, ripped the seat out to get it recoverd.. only to have the water pump and battery go out on the MSP a few hours later.. So the end result is two cars that I can't drive. lol
 
Is it just me, or is it way to much work and a pain in the ass to change the *** light bulbs on the MSP...? So hard to get to the bults, only was able to do the drivers side, couldnt get to the bults on the other one...

I didn't think it was all that hard to do. Just lay on a creeper, use a ratchet wrench if you have one (much easier than a normal wrench) and be patient.
 
Lame. Replaced my coils and wires thought my problem was fixed. But after 10 mins of driving it started the issue again. Just stuttering at higher RPMs when in boost. No CEL still

Going to replace the plugs tonight and if that doesnt do it I'm not sure where to go next. MAF?

You gapped the plugs? Could be the MAF, you tried cleaning it?
 
sorry, I meant I HAVENT replaced the plugs yet. Bought some last night but will change them tonight. Going to gap them down to .030 using the "hit them on the wall" method LOL
 
Cant hurt to clean the MAF. I used a similar gap method, tap on concrete garage floor. Works every time. In case you didnt know the ZFR6F plugs without the -11 suffix have a smaller gap for turbo cars. I bought the -11s and the gap was about .044" so I had to gap them.

BTW, you changed both coilpacks? Did you get new boots and wires as well?
