What the hell, I can barely hit boost at all in first gear with my ATP.

Now that my WGA settled in or whatever have you. I still can't floor it at 10mph in 1st gear.. the tires still break loose!

hm... I think this forge WGA just needed time to break in or settle in... no more stupid ass huge spikes! Only 2-3psi spikes which is normal and to be expected and still settles down ato 5/6psi.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Well with my lat 3 atp and 1 stocker that would never happen. The car is a freakign blast to drive even at 5/6psi!!! Get a forge dude and install it with literally just about no preload on it. I installed it with just enough preload to where I couldn't jiggle wg and hear the flap hit against the exhaust housing.

Edit: I also need new tires again... its like a yearly thing with tires for me.

Ok cool. I was looking at blox shift knobs and they only offered subie, Mitsubishi, Honda and one other car maker that wasn't mazda and wanted to see if we shared the same thread pitch as any of them.


Also just picked up my exedy stage 1 clutch from my boy just now.

And also changing the timing belt on the new motor(hate doing timing belts) will finish drooping mine out tonight and probably take the tranny off. Anything special about doing the front and rear main seal I should know about?

Also need torque specs for the clutch/flywheel please somebody.

I never torque them I just put green locktite on them.

You might as well pull the pan and throw in a new oil pump as well. Maybe even rod bearings since the motor is already out.

aight got the moneys for new bearings and oil pump. ive already decided to wait till next weekend to install the new motor. i have a water pump and a timing belt. along with the clutch and a few other gaskets.

your going to want to torque the clutch and the flywheel, I made a thread with the specs in it.
Torque for the flywheel is 75 ft lbs, torque for the clutch is somewhere around 25 ft lbs i think...use red loctite on the flywheel bolts,
I never used any on the clutch bolts, I dont believe the service manual asks for it

edit: actually its 20ft lbs for the clutch bolts

Every bolt on a car has a torque specification. While its never a bad idea to torque them down. I have done several trannys and the shop my dad owns has done hundreds and they just use loctite and we have never once had a problem.
