What have you done to your MSP today?

I finally get to post in this giant thread! My car is currently at the shop getting a new clutch installed (Exedy stage 1) and the LSD welded :). They also found that it does in fact have after market motor mounts (as predicted by the people here when I said it idled kinda rough, steady rpms). I'm pretty excited.

Next step I'm thinking is the clunk fix.

Sweetheart Rogue ordered some new tires for the car, since we're taking it down to Florida next week to visit my Dad & Stepmom....

How much for the install? I'm in the same boat except I have a guy in our fab shop welding it. I have too much install going on right now and I'm thinking of paying someone to install the Exedy clutch and LSD.

Went to get a tune for my Unichip but when I got there, 5-10 minutes before the person that was going to tune my car called in sick. Damnit!

Goin in for the 30k service tomorrow morning. Thats about it as of recently. Maybe some new parts will be goin on later this month :)

I haven't got the bill yet, but I was quoted ~400-450. More than I really wanted to spend, but I'm not really in a position to do it myself. The Mazda dealer I called first quoted me 900, just for labor since I had the part :/.

Lol, they both could.. Its not for an msp though.. Its my friends new turbo for his Evo.. Hes comparing the stock 16g to the HTA 35r..

i have a friend that just got his evo back from buschur with the same turbo, its naaasty. hes spent a ridiculous amount of money on his car, but itll be putting down 580 awhp reliably for a long time.

edit: cleared the same code again today and drove aroudn for a while and the light came back on. Guess im going to need a new IAC. Going to look into it some more before i do anything

Update on this. The LSD is now welded :). My brother (the mechanic) opened up the transmission to install my clutch, and guess what he found: a six puck racing clutch :/. I'm not sure what this car was used for before I bought it, but with 60k miles I know it was daily driven, so that clutch seems a bit...overkill. Explains why the car was so hard to drive without making it chatter. Also in there is an Unorthodox Racing flywheel, so hooray for that. That's the problem with used cars, they're kinda a mystery box. I'm excited to get it back though, should be like driving a whole new car.

Oh well horray for the flywheel. Thats a good find. Hopefully installed that set up just because it was what they thought best, and only daily drove it.

I bought my car used and I am willing to bet there is some type of racing clutch in mine too. Clutch is super stiff compared to a stock msp, it chatters, and it only takes a little movement for it to catch.

I have an exedy clutch and flywheel sitting on the floor of my house. Waiting to install when I have money. I also plan on getting my lsd welded at that time.

Nice, that sounds almost exactly like my situation lol.

Got a dyno today since we had a little dyno meet.
