What have you done to your MSP today?

Those are awesome but Im not sure if I like how the boot covers the handle on the brake.
i had one on my p5 from the same company and mine didn't look anywhere near as good, i guess i got a bad one, it was kinda too small and barely came up on the lever at all

yeah i went for a drive and didnt really like it either, but no biggie, i'll just zip tie a little lower down.

also i'm looking right now for like just a piece of bright yellow leather to replace that worn out one on the shift knob itself

Lol. I dyno'd at 136 whp with no mods. Would take a couple grand in boltons to tune stock boost enough to come even close to an ms3. Dont those cars run like 15psi factory?

Damn you should be closer to 154-ish whp! I dont feel so bad now that my car is as slow as it is and it isnt the slowest msp on the forums... well to be fair mine is lightly modded.

Think about it. The car makes ~170 crank horsepower with the joke of a tune the factory put on it. Tuned with no other mods, I bet the damn things do 200 at the crank, without breaking a sweat. A SMIC/FMIC,Tune,Turbo-Back,w/stock boost, and these cars should **** a stock MS3.

not at stock boost levels it wont... and **** it good luck on that without a forged bottom end and running something like 15psi(to high for stock turbo).

Took off my intake Mani, cause the oil line for the turbo wasn't tight at all. Going to put back together tomorrow after wrk.

And found a solution for the theromostat housing being to close to the downpipe :) well hopefully! Gotta get a block of AL ;)

meh. 154tq. dyno dynamics rig. i don't think my car was that healthy then though. Ive since done a general tune up, clutch, motor mounts, wga, intake ect. also, had been driving around for a bit before the dyno pulls so smic was probably heatsoaked.
got a dilema coming up though. i need new allseason/summer tires com april/may, but i also need a new turbo manifold.. bah.

seems in line though with marks stock p5 run on that dyno a few years back.

That's exactly what you need to do. Both the materials you picked, and the finishing (piping) are stiff and give the boot a tendency to remain fully expanded. If you want to make sure it forms nicely around the ebrake handle without moving up on it, you need to restrict that tendency by tightly zip-tieing the collar to the handle... Use the hem in the collar do feed the zip-tie through it, and tighten it. This way it will remain invisible.

Take care

I'm about to get rid of this POS, I have been trying for almost 3 weeks now to align the cam gears and I STILL can't ******* do it. What makes it so hard? Every time I try to line the belt up it's off when I check it. This stupid s*** hasn't moved in almost a month because of something so simple it pisses me off so much. What is the secret to the timing belt? Why is it impossible to have it aligned correctly? I hate this ******* car

You need to get someone over there that knows what they are doing. Im not trying to come off mean. Sometimes people get over their head in things and I think you might have bit off more than you can chew. There is nothing bad about getting someone to help man.

this was going to be exactly my sentiment. My first timing belt would have been a disaster if it was on an interference engine... so I got lucky there. They are definitely not the easiest thing, but if its been that long for you, its time to call in reinforcements.

If I had a day off of school or work it would take long but I have been so busy I only have an hour or so at a time to mess with it. Everything is done except the timing belt which i've been putting off. Hopefully I will have better luck tonight. I can't believe i've had so much trouble I usually know what I am doing I just don't have much experience with imports honestly.

I am confused as to why I had so much trouble with the timing belt, it took me about 30 minutes last night, hardly gave me trouble at all. I was up till 3am trying to finish it and took off work today to finish it up this morning. I haven't driven it yet but I hope the new WGA, timing belt, and gaskets will help it run like new. Not to mention the weather is actually below 60 so the car should run better that it has since i've owned it.
