Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the aftermarket ones. I think Mazda did a good job on the style of the grille (well perhaps something a little more unique like the folks at Honda did for the Si).

I caused my engine to puke oil all over the passenger side when I launched and got "ultimate wheel-hop". Looks like it's coming from the valve cover gasket.

What I would do (well I'm going to do when I get home) is get the MS emblem like the one you have, and angle it so it matches one of the angles in that grille area (you know, slanted to match the top or slanted to match the bottom). Not sure exactly how'd it'd look (I suppose I COULD try to photoshop it but it's time for bed where I'm at). In either case, I like the MS emblem up front. Then again, I kind of like the look of NO emblem up front either (see my photoshopped version of my car on my FB account).

As said, the lights are sick.

Yea I just ripped it off cause the tape was apparently wearing off anyway. I only paid a couple bucks for it so whateva. Thanks man.

discovered that the fender liner noise when turning had nothing to do with rubbing, and everything to do with my lazyness in putting the plastic push-in fasteners back in when the bumper was off last. so I ripped off a little piece of the liner, problem solved.

I ordered parts to change my Timing belt, tensioner, timing cover (there is a hole in the one on the car), water pump, thermostat, exhaust mani bolts, and motor mount soon. That's gonna be a fun day, but the car REALLY needs it. I also passed 90,000 miles today.

well i may have found a set of 1.8 coils. hopefully the dude accepts my offer. if not its off to pull a part i go. as far as brand new goes, rock auto is $92 shipped, advance auto wants $175. so hopefully i can get the used set.

and as far as mileage im at 197331 miles as of right now. still running pretty good. other than my coil issue. and my abs issue. wish i knew how to fix it....

Cool about the motor. Luckily mine won't make it that far before it get's replaced with the KL series. I will keep the FS just so I can toy with it. Might sell it. Who knows.

Boo about that tweaked sway bar... that's an odd sight.

Took off turbo and downpipe and mani, took them all appart and put it into a box to drop off at the coaters sometime this week.

Today my car decided to throw a CEL at me. I wasn't surprised considering the lean idle I have currently. P0171 System too lean. I probably ****** up an 02 sensor AGAIN. Do you guys think a bad 02 sensor would be the cause or just an effect of the lean idle? I have a service manual so I'll be exploring it tonight.

Dollars to doughnuts says you have a vacuum leak somewhere. I would bet it's a cracked hose somewhere on the engine or a bad coupler/clamp in your intake. After suffering for 6 months with this exact CEL code and changing everything under the hood, it turned out to be an obscure old, cracked hose. I'm not upset, I've changed a lot of things that probably needed changing now anyway (~130k miles), so it's all good. But I'd bet that's your issue, too. I don't think quality-brand O2 sensors go bad that easily.

Well I though I could swap out the front wheel bearings, no problem. Not, so now I need to take her to the shop and have it done right, I guess. This will be the first time in 3 years I've taken it to a shop.
