What have you done to your MSP today?

So I looked on tirerack.com for some Hankook summer tires and found the Ventus V12 evo K110 but when my dad called a local tire company to see if we can get them cheaper they told him that model was an All Season tire. WTF?

Well I actually found out later today that I can get them for about 80 a piece through my work but I just want to make sure that the place we called was mistaken and they are in fact a summer tire. I'm going to run some 17x7 MB weapons in the summer and the stock Racing Harts in the winter.

Thanks guys (and eff you too Eric </3). Took a lot of work and I have all but the passenger-front completed and installed. Each piece probably took 10-ish man hours to complete, with sanding and all. No way am I going to do doors after dealing with measly little door handles... LOL.

I've got some parts in the works which I intend on selling, so stay tuned.

lol. The stock wga has a bad name because a few of them were bad, and i don't think its fair to dog on em forever about it. I am happy there is a low-buck wga out there that works, because the stocker sucks ass and is absurdly overpriced. Imo the forge is superior due to being rebuildable, and the fact that you can swap springs in it to up boost properly. The atp and forge both have their places, and my only point is if you're gonna bag on the forge, be able to say why.

fixed...

Talk about doggin on somethin forever.... are you the pot or the kettle?

I've gone back through a great many threads referencing leaky stock wastegates. I did not find even one member that said his new stocker was leaking. I did find several from members who had over 100,000 miles on their cars, were bone stock and still running the original wga. Those threads that I found about leakers were wga's that were coming off cars with 60k, 70k, and 80k+ miles. And most the owners of those cars developed leaky wastegates (or became aware of them) after heavily modding and upping the boost. The wga is a wear and tear part; the diaphragm gets old. At some point they're gonna leak. To suggest that a new stock wga is a piece of crap because the old one leaked after five years and 70,000 miles is, in my humble opinion, kind of narrow-minded. I'd be more inclined to compare the ATP, Forge, and stock wastegates apples to apples after a number of people had used the ATP and Forge wga's for five years and 70,000 miles and then posted their experiences. Thats why it makes no more sense to me to rag on the stocker than it does to rag on the Forge.

Having said that, I do agree that the stocker is overpriced....

sounds good i picked up some 215-50-17 for my old mans camry.. 80 not bad.. good tire..

so im having an issue. this morning while drivinig to work my boost gauge was being sporatic. if i get up to speed and let off the gas completly, it goes down to about 9inHg and stays there. now while cruising, it will be about 4 or 5 inHg and radomly drop down to 24 or 25 inHg the go back to 4 inHg and hold. now under exc i noticed it spike to about 10 psi. but most of the time it hols at about 6.5-7 psi. so i know its spikeing but i dont know why its dropping while cruising. at idle it bounces from aroung 18- 22inHg.

any help? im supposed to dyno tomorrow night so i wanna fix it. btw it has a new wga that i put on abt the most 35k miles ago

put the baby seat in and packed the trunk cause momma's water just broke.

so, over the last week my idle has gotten progressively worse. discovered yesterday that it will NOT idle with the AC on, and about half the time idle drops to near nothing and then it revs itself up to about 1100, and repeats this...

anybody know offhand which way the mesh on the MAF is supposed to be? this is the only thing I can think of that might be screwing with my idle, once it gets off idle it runs like a champ, no cels, nothing. I'm still on my snows, but I barked 3rd gear on an onramp yesterday.

AFAIK, the mesh goes TOWARDS the throttlebody (aka downstream). Have you cleaned it recently? Check coil packs, etc?

damn, then I have it in right. if I had a coil pack problem, I think I'd have issues with more than my idle, but thats one of those things it wouldn't hurt to do around now anyway.
