What have you done to your MS3 today?

Hahahahahaha the failboat is back with more fail. This much fail has to be win

Car holds 3psi more boost, which is good.
It wreaks of degreaser and I'm guessing some sort of pb blaster, almost vomited on the way home
I have the squeaky belt tensioner issue now. I'm letting that go until just before the 3yr mark.
more marked bolts! Maf screws, intake clamp, front tmic bolt. But now instead of yellow paint its a black tar like goo.

Got these :D Im amazed at how light they are

Just found out last night that when you lock the windows via driver controls not only are the window switches locked for the passengers, they are locked for the driver as well

After moving my son from the middle to the side I knew he'd probably be playing with the window switch, so I had to use the window lock. Unbeknownst to me that after I lock it, I can no longer control the other windows without unlocking them. Seems kinda pointless to me to have a button that takes window control away from passengers, but the driver as well

Yeah, that makes no sense. Sucks.

Check it again.
I believe you still have control of the LF (driver's side) window but not the rest. The idea is to prevent the accidental lowering of a window next to children while driving... and not paying full attention, but you should still be able to lower your window for toll booths, etc.

yea...i agree, think those are anodized, and you have to use a tire cross or socket and rachet to tighten them...a impact is a big no no
alot of people have had paint chip problems with the black muteki's i have, but mine still look brand new, just be careful and tighten them by hand :)

yea already knew that. i just think it's funny (queer) how the driver has control to do that, and yet can't control the windows when they're locked. sure, it's a safety issue, and i also had to remember to set the child lock on the door that he sits next to, but every other car i've experienced that had the lock on it still allows for the driver to control the windows even when the passengers can't

just another quirk

What did I do today? Detailed it, then decided to go look at a 2011 MS3. Long story short, I'll be yanking the intake, triple gauge pod and boost gauge out, and will be driving a new car tomorrow.

I guess it just boiled down to opportunity. The selection of cars in Kansas is pathetic to put it nicely. So I figured I would buy one now while the selection is good because negotiations are in my favor.

Go black mica or go home! Only color for those new gens that looks good

I agree the black mica looks best. However, of the 10 or so available in my area, only 1 had the tech package. I'll take the tech package and a less desirable color anyday. The blue really isn't all that bad either.

Seems a little impulsive to me, bradboy, but...?

Of course we are talking about hiding that smilie-faced grille, but to me the liquid silver doesn't look that bad either (except for the grille) and I am really glad Mazda brought back Velo Red Mica too, but I can't believe they are not offering the new MS3 in CWP? Didn't they learn their lesson w/the first gen?

Doing the same exact thing. Parted out last week, signing paperwork today.

I will say that the car looks 10x better in person than any picture online. Sun was shining on that liquid silver paint and it looked hot! And I love the "subie" door lock/unlock chime!

Actually to be honest, it wasn't all that impulsive. I've been toying around with the idea of buying a new car, I just never actually went shopping around. Once I saw the car in person, I was sold.

Congrats man!

This is why I was sold once I saw it. Online pics really don't do it much justice. And the interior is amazing. Better than the gen1 in my opinion. Though I do miss the louder exhaust note from the gen1.

the thing that pisses me off completly about the new one is the blue.... its a nice color but.... RED INTERIOR?? come on now that looks retarded..

It flows with all the other colors but not blue.
