What have you done to your MS3 today?

Picked up another PCV and rear wiper blade from mazda yesterday. It tempted me to remove the rear wiper assembly altogether because the wiper blade cost me $17! I've never paid more than $9 or $10 for a blade. And mazda said its a special order; and that you cannot purchase them in any store. Anybody know if this is true? I've never heard of a wiper blade being special order only.

Sadly it is true. I think the Cabin Air Filters are also special order through Mazda only...

Pep Boys now carries a line of plastic "modular type" blades in metric lengths (similar to our Mazda OEM blads)...They're called "Proline premium rear blades" or something to that effect...

I bought one recently (for around $10 IIRC) and then just removed the blade part and put it into my OEM holder since the spot where it clips to the OEM arm on the aftermarket blade had an opening that was a bit larger and strange looking compared to the OEM blade...

Cheaper rear wiper solution!

When I had my MS3, I just went to Advance Discount Auto and purchased a blade refill for $5. And that included two. It worked wonderfully. I used the other one on my current P5, too. I thought the only solution was to buy the Mazda rear blade, but it's not true. I wrote up a How-To also:

^ Nice! I have been trying to think up a nice plate for my car. I should probably wait until I move though.. hahaha.

Installed the yellow headlight films.. I sucked putting them on so hopefully some of the moisture comes out in the direct sun like it did in the foglight covers... But far away they look decent haha.

Cleaned it! lol we had a huge cruise-in here where I lived last night, and we got a few speeder's together, and went out for it. Here are a few cleaned pics of mine:

While those can be really fun cars, there are certain things that would probably keep me from ever buying one with that kind of mileage (especially modded) as my daily driver...

They're certainly a bit "finnicky" in my opinion, and the repair/maintenance of them can get pretty $$$, even if you're doing the labor yourself.

You may already be aware of all of this, but I figured I'd throw it out there for you. :)
