What have you done to your MS3 today?

Installed SURE Anchors and TVS caps.

Installed SURE anchors for even better shifting. Already using the shortcut and counter weight.
Also added TVS caps to complement the new wheels.

CWP is what pushed me over the edge. I was willing to "settle" for silver, but when I passed the dealer's lot that Saturday, there were TWO CWPs on the lot. That accelerated the deal from "sometime later" to "TODAY!"

Finally got my wheel back from the shop. I got them coated at Precision Power Coating in Plainville, CT. Honestly, I'm really happy with the work, they are flawless. 99% of the defects were fixed and these wheels with 50K miles look brand new. My only issue was that they took much longer than promised, but again, they were done right.

I even painted the center caps. I removed the Mazda emblem painted and reinstalled. Car is sexier than ever!

PanAm, how do you like the Conti DWS tires?

I know this question was directed at PanAm, but my fiancee has the DWS on her 3 and they are pretty outstanding. Traction in the rain and snow is fantastic. They don't grip like a summer tire if you are concerned about performance. But the other aspects like road noise, comfort, etc are great.

Absolutely. These are the best all around tires I've ever used by far, and the improvement in ride comfort coming from the stock Potenzas was much welcomed. I still get surprised by how good the snow traction (short of a dedicated snow tire, I don't think you'll find better) is and the confidence you get in the wet is a little scary.

Your profile putting you in North Florida, I can't say you couldn't find a better fit for your location though. They do make just a "DW" (no S for snow) but if I were in a non-snow climate, I'd probably go for Michelin Pilots. I love my Conti's, they're perfect for where I live in CT, but you do compromise dry handling a bit (side walls are fairly soft compared to a summer tire, but still not horrible my any means) for that awesome traction when the weather goes bad.

Hmm. Thanks for the feedback. The Yokohama YK-520s I have now are at 23K. I expect I'll get another 6-8K from them and it'll be time for new shoes. Dry handling is important to me, though. I have more fun in the twisties than I do just hammering the loud pedal. What attracted me to the DWS are the reviews, the price and tread wear rating. Yep, not much call for a snow tire here :D. If it gets to that, I'll drive my Ram.

Started my e-85 tune and already making more power than my maxed out 93 oct tune. Only on the 2nd revision and haven't even turned the meth back on!

I'm probably in the same climate as you. I really like my Sumitomo HTRZIII. I think there might be a rebate on tirerack right now. You can pick up a set for under $500. I'm not sure if they still are, but mine were made in Japan. Whens the last time you got that? Just checked, still made in JP. Oh and if you run any negative camber, the inner sidewall of the HTRZIII is constructed to help prolong tire life.

Made it another day with out trading it in (car is paid off). If it weren't for the great stereo system I installed and the pending job transition, I would be so ready to move on. (Sorry for the depressing post, been 4 years...) Love the car, but its getting stale.. Tips or motivation?
